GET READY because another old fashion trend is back at Primark, whether you like it or not.

The fashion retailer uploaded a video showing how puffball skirts are once again gracing the shelves and shoppers can’t decide whether they’re nostalgic or not.

The Primark store in East Kilbridge, Scotlanduploaded a video showing off their puffball skirts – also known as bubble skirts – which come in two colors.

THE @primark_eastkibride account showed how you can choose them in black or white.

And luckily, they won’t break the bank, costing a purse-friendly £12.

They added: “Perfect for (what’s left) summer and back to school.”

The clip racked up hundreds of likes, but people were divided in the comments.

One shopper said: “My friend is buying white and black and so am I.”

Another tagged his friend and said: “Calling your name.”

However, others didn’t agree, with one saying: “It looks like a Victorian child’s trousers.”

Puffball skirts were a mark of the 80s, but were also a staple of the 2000s.

The skirt is easily identifiable by its voluminous hem and has been returning to the catwalk, with Miu Miu presenting it for the last three seasons.

‘It’s 2024 guys’ people cry as Primark brings back the 90s brand that ‘bullied them at school’

Celebrities like Selena Gomez and Sabrina Carpenter have been spotted wearing the humble bubble skirt in 2024.

Primark shoppers also pointed out that the store has done a separate collaboration with a 90s brand that reminds them of their school days.

Primark, which is famous for offering affordable everyday prices on items from fashion to homeware, recently collaborated with Kappa.

In the eighties and nineties, sports brand Kappa gained popularity after winning sponsorships with elite football teams including Juventus, AC Milan and FC Barcelona.

This meant that many Brits growing up at that time probably owned something from the sports brand.

Now, Primark is bringing the brand back to everyone’s attention by collaborating with them.

From joggers to tracksuits and sports bags, the clothing retailer believes the clothes are perfect for “going to the gym or hanging out with friends”.

Speaking about Kappa, the Primark website says: “Immerse yourself in the latest trends in Kappa x Primark sportswear with our exciting collaborative collection.

All the 90s trends that are back

It may be 2024, but fashion fans are looking to the past when it comes to new styles. So what ’90s trends are making a comeback these days?

Claw Clips

These hair accessories were a huge trend in the ’90s, but now they’re more popular among those experimenting with the “clean girl” aesthetic. Designers like Prada have released their own versions, although there are thousands of colors and styles to choose from on the high street.

Platform slippers

Again a popular choice among fashionistas in the ’90s, these heels have made a comeback with designers like Balenciaga trying their luck with their own styles.

Cargo pants

Once worn by All Saints stars, cargo pants became a popular trend among teenagers in the ’90s. But now they’ve gotten a fashion makeover, with stars like Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber putting their own spin on the trend.

Jeans and a beautiful top

It was the phrase that defined fashion for a decade, and now famous faces like Sofia Richie are sporting the reinvented trend – pairing their own denim with a more sophisticated top. But are you willing to take your cute jeans and tops out of your wardrobe for a second time?

“Featuring iconic styles, from Kappa x Primark joggers, perfect for any casual outing, to cozy Kappa x Primark tops, socks and sweatshirts, ideal for layering.”

Primark, in Bracknell, Berkshire, shared a video of its collection that has just arrived in its store on TikTok.

But the collection was met with mixed opinions, with some simply asking “why?”

One wrote: “If you wore Kappa back then, you were worried poor.”

Another added: “It’s 2024 guys.”

A third commented: “In my day you went to school wearing kappa and got beaten up.”
