SUMMER is upon us, which means only one thing – the annual return of an all-linen wardrobe.
Nothing goes better with a summer outfit than a pair of comfy, breathable linen pants – and if you haven’t found the perfect fit yet, you’d better plan a trip to your local Marks & Spencer.
The popular high street retailer recently sent fans into a frenzy with a series of new additions – and their Flax-blend trousers are no exception.
These must-have pants, available in a wide range of colors, have an airy, wide-leg shape, making them perfect for warmer weather.
The pants close with a drawstring at a comfortable high waist, which you can adjust to your preference.
In addition, the design also features practical side pockets and back pockets, which are stylish and practical.
Perfect with sandals or white sneakers, these pants can be dressed up or down no matter the occasion.
Whether you want something comfy for a flight to kick-start your summer vacation or paired with a blazer for a smart look, these linen pants are versatile.
Shoppers can pick up the £25 wardrobe essential in bright blue, white, grey, black and navy, just to name a few options – and M&S also offers trousers in the Short/Petite, Regular and Long ranges.
Size options range from UK 6 to UK 24 – however, some have pointed out that the bottom is a little big and long.
With over 600 positive reviews online and an impressive 4.2-star rating, it’s no wonder many fashionistas are rushing to buy a pair.
One person, who gave the linen pants five stars, wrote: “Good quality linen blend pants. Great addition to your spring/summer wardrobe.
”Sized down as quite generous elastic waistband. Great length and fit. It is not transparent.
A second also recommended buying the £25 trousers, writing: “I normally wear a size 10 in M&S but I bought a size 8 in these wide leg trousers because the 10 was too big.
”I’m 1.75m tall and the short length was ideal for wearing with flat shoes and sneakers.”
A third chimed in: ”I loved the black and white ones so much that I’ve now ordered a navy blue pair.
Why everyone is loving M&S

Deputy fashion editor Abby McHale revealed to Fabulous why M&S is the store of the moment. She explained:
“M&S has really pulled out all the stops this season, there are so many great products to get excited about.
“A brand that was once known for its ‘slouchy fashion’, that notion is long gone and is now one of the leading women’s high street fashion stores.
“Their handbag line in particular is super strong, with sales up 170% over plan, with many more naïve designers at just a fraction of the price.
“The brand is now also number 1 in style perception, compared to third place last year, this comes from a very strong design team focused on modernizing the brand, not just taking into account the appearance of parts, but as easy to use as well.
“Price is also an important factor as you can get many good quality pieces for under £30.
“After giving you a sneak peek at the upcoming collection, there are plenty of other amazing pieces releasing in the coming months for you to keep an eye on.
“Think leopard print dresses, colorful slips, embroidered boho jackets, plus lots of amazing swimwear and accessories, as well as great wardrobe staples that will last year after year.”
”Be warned, they are VERY long (which at 5’9″ is a first for me), so I ordered the navy blue one in a size smaller.”
”Perfect fit and quality material. Have branches in different colors,” someone was raving at the bottom.
However, although the reviews were mostly positive, not everyone recommended purchasing them.
One disappointed customer warned: “Too big and long. Not a good fit.
”Looks like I’ll have to alter all my jeans and pants in the future!”
“I loved the material and style, but the shorts were still too long,” someone else had the same problem.
”Shorts have always been good for me when I’ve already bought pants, so I was very disappointed.”
