SHOPPERS have been urged to “run, don’t walk” to Primark to buy a £14 summer collection.

Bargain store staff found the formal pleated skirt and matching cropped shirt very popular.

Staff at the East Kilbride store even said they are in the “age of the preppy girl” thanks to the newcomers.

They added: “Run, don’t walk to get your hands on the cutest combinations for spring/summer!”

The coordinating one is available in a black or cream checkered pattern.

The textured pleated skirt costs £8, while the matching short-sleeved cropped shirt costs £6 – making the outfit a bargain at just £14.

You can further reduce the cost by pairing the skirt with the textured ruffled cami top, which costs a fiver.

Primark bosses say the lightweight ensemble offers a “slightly formal, collegial look” and is “made for sunny skies”.

They added: “Achieve an easy, understated style with this combination.

“This casual piece is cut from a stretchy, subtly textured material that features a fitted silhouette.

“Adding this texture [co-ord] to your rotation of upcoming looks is, frankly, a bit obvious.”

If this has inspired you to head to Primark soon, there’s another set in store that’s been hailed as “fantastic for summer”.

‘I’m going to run out of money!’ fashion fans gasp as Primark launches NEW summer dresses that are perfect for holidays, and they cost just £7

Shoppers are already loving the relaxed vest and matching pleated front shorts for £18 each – totaling just £36.

And you are guaranteed that you will get your money’s worth, as the set can be accessorized with sneakers or sandals.

You’ll also be happy to know that the bargain is making a big change to the price of hundreds of items across the country.

It is the second year in a row that the budget network has cut prices on essential items for children.

Primark bosses say the move aims to help families “get more bang for their buck” as they start planning their summer wardrobes.

And check out the new Shrek line, which has been hailed as the “perfect mix of comfort and nostalgia,” while you’re there.

Primark’s ‘perfect online shopping formula’

MODA powerhouse Primark claims it has the winning formula for online shopping – as it continues to avoid home deliveries.

The budget retailer said yesterday it would expand its click and collect service across its 184 UK stores and include menswear and homewares.

But his boss said that “there is no evidence that we are losing customers because we don’t deliver to home.”

George Weston, chief executive of Associated British Foods, which owns Primark, said “click and collect works really well”.

When asked if he would offer home deliveries, he added: “No, no, it’s a completely different business, which requires different skills.”

By forcing shoppers to come into its stores to collect orders online, Primark is also not wasting its investment in its stores.

Weston revealed that 40 to 60 percent of online shoppers make a second, larger purchase when they go to the online store.
