PRIMARK fans have been divided over its new Bridgerton-inspired pajamas, with some comparing them to “Wetherspoons merchandise”.

The long-awaited first half of the Regency Era drama’s third series arrived on Netflix on Thursday and many of us spent the weekend avidly watching the relationship between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) blossom.

While we wait for the second half of the series to be released on June 16, Primark has released the perfect outfit to wear to a Bridgerton watch party.

The collection consists of a blue and white floral satin bathrobe, chemise, pajama pants and cropped pajama shirt.

The robe costs £24 and each of the other items costs £14.

Items come in a wide range of sizes, from extra small to extra large, and you can purchase the pajamas in store or click and collect.

And for any Lady Whistledowns beginners, the high street store is also selling a collection of Bridgerton-inspired notebooks, for just £3.

Primark said the collection will “bring a romantic Regency touch” to your wardrobe and captures the “swoon-worthy essence” of the show.

However, not everyone is convinced.

Commenting on a video on the Primark TikTok account where the fast-fashion store showcased the new range, some compared the new collection to “Wetherspoons merchandise”.

Famous budget pub chain Wetherspoons serves food on blue and white floral plates, not unlike the patterns on Primark pajamas.

Highlighting this, one person said: “You know Primark, when I want to look like a plate of Wetherspoons, I’ll call you out.”

Another person said: “Whetherspoons merchandise.”

A third said: “Ultimate Spoons cop.”

However, many others were impressed by the pajama set.

One person said: “Obsessed.”

ABBY McHale reveals why Primark is known for its sleepwear section.

Taking up large sections of the stores, it has everything from modern satin styles to cute Disney pajamas and everything in between.

Plus, it means you can go to bed looking and feeling good without having to break the bank.

It’s also a great place to buy some silly pajamas.

Last year Primark had a great version of Skims pajamas and their latest model is from Victoria’s Secret.

The pink striped pajamas match the ones from the American lingerie brand, I even have one.

They’re lightweight, super comfortable, and only a fraction of the price – what’s not to love.

Another added: “I need that robe.”

A third said: “More reasons why I need to go to Primark.”
