A Primark worker at the bargain chain East Kilbride branch in Lanarkshire recommended a £12 purchase to be the “must wear of the summer”.

Sharing a clip of the dress on the rails, the store employee added: “The £12 dress everyone needs for summer 2024!”

The ‘Ruffle Strap Tiered Smock Mini Dress’ is available in sizes XS – XL and comes in blue, red and white.

It has a square neckline, ruffle details on the arms and a layered skirt that ensure a flattering fit for all shapes and sizes.

And it was also hailed as a “sweet, flattering summer essential” by Primark bosses.

Describing the dress on their website, they say: “One of our favorite things about summer is the opportunity to wear a sundress, and you’ll feel great in this pinafore style!

“Made from a soft, lightweight fabric for a cool feel, this dress features a smock silhouette with tiered skirt, wide straps complete with ruffles for a floaty feel, a timeless square neckline and falls in a mini length – perfect for dressing up or down. low.

“Pair with canvas sneakers and a denim jacket to maintain a casual style, opt for sandals and a sun hat for summer outings, or dress up with chunky accessories and platform wedges.”

Elsewhere in the store, a £12 pajama top has been hailed as the “prettiest shirt on the planet” – with one fashion fan vowing to wear it everywhere.

Lauren insists the high street store’s bargain ‘Paisley Satin Pajama Nightshirt’ deserves to be seen “even more than just leaving the bins out”.

‘I need this’, fashionistas say of Primark’s must-have summer top that ‘has it all’… including a built-in bra

The popular nightshirt is made from soft satin and features the classic notched collar, button front, lightweight draped cut and long cuffed sleeves.

Noting how it’s “good enough to wear out,” she then shows how it pairs with off-white jeans and gold platform heels to “add a twist” to daytime wear.

“Just because I bought this in the pajama section doesn’t mean I can’t wear this outside of the house,” Lauren said.

But Primark fans were left divided by its new Bridgerton-inspired pajamas.

Primark said the collection will “bring a romantic Regency touch” to your wardrobe and captures the “swoon-worthy essence” of the show.

However, not everyone is convinced, with some comparing them to “Wetherspoons merchandise”.

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering fashionable items at such incredible prices? According to the bosses, it fell to four points.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – thanks to this they are able to save money by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • Although their clothes offer the “latest trends,” they “do not use expensive hangers, tags, or labels.”
  • And finally, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to package our t-shirts so they’re ready to go straight to the shelf.”
