Marks & Spencer recently launched its lightweight monochromatic summer dress with pretty crochet details.

Priced at £55, fashion fans are already insisting they need it on holiday and have rushed to add it to their baskets.

The ‘Printed Textured Midaxi Beach Dress’ is available in an inclusive size range from size 8 to 24.

M&S bosses say: “Made from pure cotton, this textured beach dress is a winner for hot days.

“It’s designed in a comfortable regular fit, falling to a sleek mid-length with a sleek layer.

“The top section is crafted in a beautiful crochet style, with a flattering square neckline and straps embellished with delicate braided details.

“Jacquard details and contrasting patterns throughout bring a gorgeous boho touch to this stylish piece.”

And as if shoppers weren’t already loving it, an M&S employee revealed on Monday that it’s now also available in children’s sizes.

In a short video they said: “Matching holiday dresses with your mini”

The ‘Cotton Mini Me Dress’ costs £22 for ages two to six and £24 for six to 16.

Four ways to save money at M&S

The clip of the matching outfits has since gone viral, racking up nearly 300,000 views.

One fashion fan said: “I was influenced! Head to the app to add them both to your basket.”

A second wrote: “Awww! I need a vacation for that!”

“Oh my god I need it,” gushed a third.

Why everyone is loving M&S

Deputy fashion editor Abby McHale revealed to Fabulous why M&S is the store of the moment. She explained:

“M&S has really pulled out all the stops this season, there are so many great products to get excited about.

“A brand that was once known for its ‘slouchy fashion’, that notion is long gone and is now one of the leading women’s high street fashion stores.

“Their handbag line in particular is super strong, with sales up 170% over plan, with many more naïve designers at just a fraction of the price.

“The brand is now also number 1 in style perception, compared to third place last year, this comes from a very strong design team focused on modernizing the brand, not just taking into account the appearance of parts, but as easy to use as well.

“Price is also an important factor as you can get many good quality pieces for under £30.

“After giving you a sneak peek at the upcoming collection, there are plenty of other amazing pieces releasing in the coming months for you to keep an eye on.

“Think leopard print dresses, colorful slips, embroidered boho jackets, plus lots of amazing swimwear and accessories, as well as great wardrobe staples that will last year after year.”

A fourth added: “Sold, waited 2.5 years for this.”

A fifth added: “Brb making a wish.”

And a sixth insisted: “M&S have really upped their game this year with clothes.

“It’s taken a good two decades, but I feel like they’re finally hitting the mark.”

If this has inspired you to visit your nearest M&S, you might also want to keep an eye out for the “gorgeous” linen dress that has customers rushing to the tills.

The Swing Midaxi Linen Blend dress is already trending on TikTok.

And a £35 tummy-free purchase that flows over the hips has been hailed as the “skirt of summer”.
