It can be difficult to find the perfect mix of fluffy and fruity, sexy and spicy.
But it appears Primark has done just that, with an offering it has branded the “dress of the summer”.
The store I took it to TikTok to share a look at the pretty £14 number – a strappy white dress printed with images of cherries and peppercorns.
“PSA: we found THE summer dress,” they captioned the video.
The clip showed the dress from the front, drawing attention to the adjustable straps, mini length and bodice detail.
They then flipped the dress over to show off the back – arguably the sexiest part of the dress.
It has a cutout with ties at the top.
On the Primark website, they write about the dress: “Whether you want sweet or spicy summer, do it in style with this all-over print sundress!
Made from a soft, lightweight fabric for a playful feel, this dress features a ruched bodice for a milkmaid effect, delicate straps, a back tie with cutout detail at the waist, and a straight-cut skirt for a casual touch, while a cherry and pepper print adds a touch of fun.
“Whether you dress it up with heeled sandals or style it casually with canvas sneakers and a denim jacket, you’ll feel like a total snack!”
And people in the video’s comments section were quick to admit that they would rush to stores to try and snag one of the dresses.
“Oh my god, that’s so cute!” one person wrote.
“I’m going to Primark on Saturday,” added another.
“She is cute!” a third commented.
“That’s so cute, but why does it have pepper?” someone wondered.
With Primark responding: “Adds a little spice.”
Others pointed out that the dress would be perfect for fans of Spanish driver Carlos Sainz, who has the nickname ‘Chilli’.
“This is for all the Carlos Sainz girls,” one wrote, adding “if you know, you know.”
“I can now see all of Carlos Sainz’s comments,” said another person.
Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?
JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering fashionable items at such incredible prices? According to the bosses, it fell to four points.
- They “sell a lot of items” – thanks to this they are able to save money by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
- They “do very little advertising”
- Although their clothes offer the “latest trends,” they “do not use expensive hangers, tags, or labels.”
- And finally, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to package our t-shirts so they’re ready to go straight to the shelf.”

As a third insisted that the dress is “giving Carlos Sainz”.
However, not everyone was a fan of the dress.
“Why so short?” one questioned.
“This is so ugly,” added another.
While a third commented: “Please have one with just cherries!”
