A WOMAN has been criticized for the wedding dress she planned to wear on her friend’s big day.
There are so many rules that wedding guests must follow when it comes to dress code that it can be difficult to keep track of them all.
But one woman was criticized and said it was a “hard no” to wear the dress she wanted.
On social media, the woman shared an image of her wedding guest dress that left everyone telling her to think again and change her outfit.
The image showed a form-fitting dress in a bold beige fabric that clung to her curves.
This is never a good thing, especially in a marriage.

Across the beige fabric was a gold pattern for extra glamour.
In the comments, the woman revealed that the wedding reception would be in a restaurant.
The excited wedding guest noticed she was opting for cocktail attire.
She wrote: No dress code, the place is a high-end restaurant, the hours are from afternoon until 3 am!”
But everyone agreed that it was not suitable for someone else’s wedding.
The post, which was first seen in the Reddit group Wedding Attire Approval It soon garnered hundreds of comments.
Many of the people who saw the post claimed it was inappropriate – even adding that it was better suited for the bride of the day.
One person wrote: “That’s a hard NO. If you dress up in that number just after lunch, you’ll be noticed for all the wrong reasons.
“That’s never a good thing, especially in a marriage.”
Another commented: “For the bride, of course.
“For a guest, no. Choose a different color and skip the sequins for an afternoon event.”
Clothing Etiquette for Wedding Guests

- Folklore says that wearing red to a wedding means you slept with the groom.
- Casual attire like jeans and flip-flops should always be avoided.
- Any color that can be chosen like white or cream – even if it isn’t.
- Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered.
- Wearing white is a big no-no if you’re not the bride.
“I would say no. The glitter and nude color make this inappropriate as a wedding guest,” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Nah – looks like a wedding reception dress.”
“No, for several reasons. It’s extremely fitting; combined with the nude color it seems inappropriate for someone else’s wedding. Like I could easily see a bride wearing this to the wedding dinner/dance etc,” said a fifth.
Someone else added: “At a restaurant wedding I would DEFINITELY think you were the bride at that.”
