A SUPERMARKET dress that “looks expensive” is being hailed by shoppers as a summer holiday essential.
Fashion fans have been raving about the Sainsbury dress since it was launched last week.
The ‘Pink Embroidered Broderie Midi Dress’ is available in an inclusive size range from 6 to 24 and costs £30.
Sainsbury bosses say: “For a stylish and chic look this summer, choose our pink midi dress.
Beautifully designed in cotton with embroidered details, it has an embroidered hem and pretty tie straps.
“Finish off your look with a pair of mule sandals.”
Tu Clothing creative stylist Katrina also hailed the dress as a “hero” while talking about her summer essentials.
She said: “This layered maxi is a heroic silhouette for the season.
“We have embroidered lace, contrasting colors, bows, details – all the ingredients for a striking style.”
Glasgow influencer Megan Welsh (@meganowelsh) is also a big fan of the colorful dress.
Trying it on at home, she said: “The cutest lil summer dress. Imagine this on holiday for dinner?”
The sundress is already sold out online in all but 6 sizes, so you’ll have to head to your nearest store to pick one up.
But if you’re struggling to get the popular dress, it’s also available in black.
Snatching the monochromatic version, fashion fan Rebecca said: “I love this dress.
‘Super flattering silhouette pulling me towards the narrowest part. It is also an easy dress to swell.
Someone else added: “I bought this summer dress to go on holiday and I’m really pleased with it. It looks so elegant and expensive.”
How to look chic on a budget
Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger and beauty journalist Samantha Silver have revealed how you can elevate your looks without spending hundreds of pounds.
- Never spend on designer jeans: River Island ”always has a great selection of modern jeans that follow current trends”. The high street retailer offers a huge range of sizes for UK 6 – UK 18 and three leg lengths – and prices start at an affordable £25.
- There are no rules for jewelry: ”Buy something at a car boot sale or charity shop, browse Vinted and eBay, buy something in the clothing section of your local supermarket when shopping, or check out high street clothing stores.”
- Don’t forget your favorite sites: With a growing number of second-hand sites like Vinted and Depop, there’s no excuse not to buy – or sell – used clothes. Gemma, for example, managed to get her hands on chic Chanel sunglasses for just £17.
Meanwhile, a third wrote: “Beautiful quality dress, exceeded my expectations.”
If this has inspired you to head to your local Sainsbury’s, you might also be on the hunt for Tu Clothing’s viral co-ord.
Fashion fans insist it’s ‘bloat-friendly’ and perfect for holidays.
But the ‘Black Embroidered Co-ord Shell Top’, £15, is already sold out online, with only limited sizes left in the matching ‘Black Embroidered Co-ord Shorts’, £18.
