I paid $4.99 for a bag at a thrift store in Alaska – I knew I got it for a detail in the hardware, people say ‘wow’

A FASHION lover couldn’t believe his luck he found at a second-hand store in Alaska.

She was shocked to discover the cheap buy was actually from a designer brand.

On a Reddit publishan unidentified user shared photos of the bag he purchased while saving.

“Found at a thrift store in Alaska. $4.99 and looks legit,” they captioned the images.

The first photograph showed a golden half-moon-shaped leather bag with an adjustable strap.

A closer look at the item revealed that it was actually a vintage 1961 Gucci bag.

Known as the Jackie, the style currently costs at least $500 to purchase from vintage sellers.

The bag’s metal detail had the designer’s name engraved on the side.

The Gucci logo can also be seen on the zipper of the gold bag.

The buyer also showed the stitching of the Gucci bag up close.

Reddit users shared their thoughts on the find in the comments section.
