If you’re struggling to find the perfect outfit for a special occasion, you probably haven’t been to New Look recently.
Luckily, eagle-eyed shoppers have been scouring the store’s sales and claim to have found the “perfect” dress for every event.
It’s not hard to see why fashionistas have fallen for Blue Floral Midi Dress Asymmetrical Flutter Sleeve with Ruffle any.
With its stunning baby blue print, this dress looks gorgeous and you won’t have to worry about making a fashion mistake either.
As the name suggests, the fast fashion buy has a delicate daisy print that is perfect for summer weddings, baptisms or even a race day.
For those who aren’t sold yet, the high street dress also has a super flattering silhouette.
In fact, the product description says, “With a floral print, ruffles, and flowing sleeves, this blue midi dress has ‘special occasion’ written all over it.”
The fashion find also has a split hem and round neckline, which enhance the feminine touch of the New Look dress.
With wedding season in full swing, the dress quickly earned a four out of five star rating on the New Look website.
In fact, fashionistas left several rave reviews, with one saying the dress was a “must-have” for this summer.
“An essential dress for summer. Very good fit and Cool lightweight material,” said a satisfied customer after awarding the dress five stars.
Another also said it was perfect for summer weddings, writing: “Love, love, love. Beautiful dress for a wedding.”
Some shoppers even tried and tested the dress, with a third revealing: “Beautiful fit and color. Perfect for my afternoon tea in London.”
Although most customers awarded the dress five stars, some revealed that the dress wrinkles easily.
One complained: “Beautiful dress and very flattering. The quality of the material could be better and it needs a good iron, but I’m very happy with it.”
“It wrinkles easily. It looks much better on the model in the photo and I struggled to make it fit correctly. The material was very thin and it wrinkled very easily”, groaned another, still awarding it three stars.

Dos and Don’ts of Wedding Dress Codes

I will never forget the wedding I went to in October 2022, where a guest wore a white dress.
It was ill-fitting, knee-length, and looked nothing like a real wedding dress, but that didn’t stop everyone from judging her.
The rules about wedding guest attire — which are annoyingly stricter for women than men — are meant to be about “not outshining the bride,” which is actually pretty hard to do on someone else’s wedding day.
But if you get it wrong as a guest, you’ll end up looking a little silly and in front of a bunch of people who don’t know you personally.
It’s just not the occasion for your new white dress, no matter how much online stores love to throw it in the ‘wedding guest’ section.
I would avoid anything too tight/short and ditch the super formal dresses unless the dress code requires them – you don’t want to wear a long sequin dress to a smart casual event.
Personally I don’t like black dresses either, it’s not a funeral.
Otherwise you will be quite safe. Technically, wearing red means you’re in love with your fiancé, but that’s the kind of rule most people would scoff at these days.
I always check the bridesmaids’ color, just to be safe, after the Spanish wedding, where I saw them walk down the aisle in exactly the same dress I had in my Asos shopping basket weeks before.
When in doubt, it’s safest to just check with the bride… but if you’re already doubting your dress, this might be the answer you need.
