SHOPPERS were surprised to see a popular 90s accessories trend back on Primark shelves.
Jilly Cross shared her disbelief after seeing bracelets back in fashion in a video posted to her TikTok Channel.
But that didn’t stop her from buying two sets.
It was difficult to sneak around without being heard in the 1990s and early 2000s due to the noise of thin metal bracelets.
The “less is more” mantra meant nothing when it came to this trend as it was all about arms stacked with as many bracelets as possible.
And now they’re back in stores if you don’t already have any stashed away in your old jewelry box.
Primark’s Metallic Bangle Pack comes in silver or gold, with eight bracelets per set.
Plus, they’re just £3.50, meaning you can purchase multiple sets to get the stacked look.
A description on the Primark website says: “Prepare to fall in love with these bracelets.”
Sharing a video of her Primark collection, including the bracelets, Glasgow influencer Jilly said: “These are literally out of my eight-year-old wardrobe.”
Someone chimed in: “Omg remember those bracelets!!”
A third wrote: “The sound of those bracelets is a blast from the past.”
Meanwhile, a fourth added: “I’m taking this as a sign to go to Primark now haha.”
Elsewhere in the store, shoppers joked that they “have PTSD” after spotting a ’90s shoe trend that everyone was happy to see the back of in the shoe department.
Primark’s new £5 flats come in a wide range of colors including blue, pink and nude.
But people complained: “I can’t even walk with them because it hurts.”
Another nostalgic trend, however, has fashion fans running to the nearest store to get their hands on it.
Fierce animal print left its mark on 90s fashion and was everywhere – from hats and coats to minidresses and pants.
And now it’s back on track with the new £14 low-waisted maxi skirt and £16 maxi slip dress, leaving shoppers excited with “I need this ASAP”.
All the 90s trends that are back
It may be 2024, but fashion fans are looking to the past when it comes to new styles. So what ’90s trends are making a comeback these days?
Claw Clips
These hair accessories were a huge trend in the ’90s, but now they’re more popular among those experimenting with the “clean girl” aesthetic. Designers like Prada have released their own versions, although there are thousands of colors and styles to choose from on the high street.
Platform slippers
Again a popular choice among fashionistas in the ’90s, these heels have made a comeback with designers like Balenciaga trying their luck with their own styles.
Cargo pants
Once worn by All Saints stars, cargo pants became a popular trend among teenagers in the ’90s. But now they’ve gotten a fashion makeover, with stars like Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber putting their own spin on the trend.
Jeans and a beautiful top
It was the phrase that defined fashion for a decade, and now famous faces like Sofia Richie are sporting the reinvented trend – pairing their own denim with a more sophisticated top. But are you willing to take your cute jeans and tops out of your wardrobe for a second time?
