It’s finally here – Fabulous’ first clothing line for fuller-busted women. Three readers, who previously told us about their struggles to find flattering clothes, have given their verdict. . .

EARLIER this year, Fabulous promised to help women with large breasts – by finding them clothes that flatter larger chests.

In a landmark survey, 64 percent of our readers talked about their struggles finding clothes that fit them.

This is despite the average bra size in the UK now being 36DD.

So we decided that enough was enough.

It was time for women with large breasts to ditch the safety pins that held their clothes in place and wear clothes that actually fit their breasts perfectly.

Getting to work, we created a community of over 2,500 women to help us create a line just for them.

From finding out what kind of problems they have when it comes to dressing their busts – like open tops, never being able to wear anything backless and constantly showing bras – we work with a team of expert designers determined to create perfect pieces for women with larger breasts. full.

Beautiful dresses

After sharing a range of shapes, prints and patterns with our team of readers, we took the most popular ones and created our seven-piece Fabulous Fuller Bust collection.

These incredible women were with us every step of the way, sending us valuable feedback via Facebook, WhatsApp and email. We couldn’t have done it without them.

O next The step was to ensure we adjusted correctly – the most important factor when it came to solving our problem.

Inviting members of our community to test the first design samples, we enlisted the help of an expert full-bust clothing technician, who decided exactly what changes were needed to ensure our clothes fit everyone perfectly.

The capsule collection consists of five beautiful dresses and two stylish

tops – ranging from £30 to £55 – and are perfect for women with DD+ busts. All items include key design elements to ensure they work for ALL larger-busted women.

From a backless dress with a wide back strap that allows you to still wear your bra, to tops with gathered fabric details and additional lining so the buttons don’t come undone, we really have thought of it all.

We’ve also included hidden poppers so there’s no need for safety pins, extra fabric to banish “shelf boobs,” as well as ruffles and an elastic back to support movement.

Once we got the fits we wanted, we invited more members of the community to a glamorous photo shoot in London, where they tried on the collection and gave us their verdict.

And we’re happy to report that they loved the entire collection.

As I grew up, in my 20s and 30s, I really hated my breasts, they were so big that I even thought about reducing them. Not that I didn’t love my body, as I was always quite confident, but it was difficult to be fashionable.

Not only is it the reach It’s there to solve the problems of those with fuller busts, but we wanted to make sure it was also sustainable.

With a shocking 30% of fashion products going to landfill, we decided to eliminate waste by making our clothes only to order.

This means the line takes a little longer to arrive, but we think you’ll agree it’s worth the wait.

Become tearful

We are also working with the charity Pratham UK, which funds educational programs for underprivileged children in India. Buying one piece from the collection can support a child’s education for two months. We also ensure that factory workers receive collection bonuses and that all fabrics are 100% sustainably sourced.

In February, we met three women who told us about their struggles with dressing their big boobs.

Sarah Lee, who is 34JJ, Paij Hamiltonwho has 28G breasts – but is a petite size eight – and Angelica Fenney, who has 38XL breasts.

Sarah, 52, who lives in Worthing, West Sussex, used to feel so frustrated by the lack of options available to her that she would cry.

“As I got older, in my 20s and 30s, I really hated my breasts,” the support worker told us. “They were so big that I even considered a reduction. Not that I didn’t love my body, as I was always quite confident, but it was difficult to be fashionable.

“I wanted to wear what was in fashion, with spaghetti straps and backless dresses, but I couldn’t.”

I have a hard time buying clothes because I’m so small, but I don’t want anything too tight around my chest as that just pushes them out further and draws even more attention.

Paij

Being small while also having big boobs has made life difficult for 31-year-old Paij.

At just 5ft 7in and a size eight, Paij, from Hackney, east London, says it’s a battle to find something that fits her G-cup breasts.

“All my life I’ve struggled to find clothes that fit me,” Paij, the housing association worker, told us.

“I have a hard time buying clothes because I’m so small, but I don’t want anything too tight around the chest as that just pushes them out further and draws even more attention.

“Sometimes I have to pay to have things custom-made so they fit me better. Bikinis are particularly difficult to buy.” Angelica Fenney, from Liverpool, told us she avoids relationships because her boyfriends get jealous of other men ogling her breasts. “When I’ve had partners in the past, they didn’t like the attention I got because of my breasts,” said Angélica, 45, a plus-size model.

“They get jealous and that causes fights. That’s one of the biggest reasons I’m still single. It’s not worth the hassle. Men have even walked into walls while looking at my chest. My nieces will laugh and say that people are looking at me.

“I don’t always like attention, so I try to cover it up. I’m a size 16, but I often have to buy an 18 or 20 and pay for it to be picked up. If something fits my breasts, then it fits loose everywhere else.

Now that the collection is created, we decided to invite ladies to try the range again.

Seeing the three women wearing the pieces with such confidence was quite a moment – all that hard work paid off.

Items include a classic zebra print, leopard print with green spots, and a backless black dress that can be worn with anything, meaning they’re not one-season wonders.

This is the first time in my life that I fit into my true size, and honestly, I feel quite emotional about it. Having felt so excluded by the fashion industry for years, having clothes that fit me today is just incredible.

Angelica

Sarah says: “I often have to opt for stretchy material to give it a bit of shape, otherwise it all hangs down on your breasts and you end up looking like a bathtub.

“But I didn’t have that problem with clothes today.

“The zippers closed perfectly and the clothes fit my shape instead of me having to size them to fit.

“They are also incredibly comfortable. I don’t feel crushed or squeezed and they have given me a real Cool silhouette. The price is also very reasonable. I spent a lot more on dresses that didn’t fit as well.”

Paij wanted to be able to wear tops with deeper necklines without attracting negative attention, and it looks like Fabulous may have solved that problem.

She says: “It’s so nice to have something that cinches in at the waist, because we all want a bit of shape. The upper is also very comfortable. I have space for my arms and breasts, which can be very difficult to find on the streets.

“Better yet, there is no gap! I love that Fabulous added this extra fabric behind the buttons – no other company does this.

“I was wearing a balconette bra that sat really high, but you just couldn’t see it. I would absolutely shop with Fabulous again. This collection is what’s missing on the streets.”

Angélica, in particular, was impressed by the variety, even being thrilled to discover that she can fit into a smaller dress that also fits her bust perfectly.

“I’m only a size 16, but I’m having to buy up to a size 22 to accommodate my breasts,” she told us, with tears in her eyes.

“I was so pleasantly surprised today. I initially ordered a size 18 to make room for my breasts, but I had to size down to a 16.

“This is the first time in my life that I have fit into my true size and honestly, I am so thrilled about it. Having felt so excluded by the fashion industry for years, having clothes that fit me today is just incredible.

“Today I feel sexy, glamorous and confident. I feel like I could walk out of the house with my head held high and say, ‘This is me.’

“For the first time I feel like people aren’t just talking about my breasts. I also look a lot slimmer – and I haven’t lost a penny!

“I think the price is phenomenal for what you are getting. These clothes are of great quality and the fact that you can wear them without adjustments is incredible.

“Being the right dress size after all this time? I can’t put a price on that.”
