WITH the show of the century taking the world by storm, Swifties are going crazy for anything Taylor Swift related.
And now, British company Gymshark has added to the hysteria by revealing its take on Taylor Swift’s iconic Eras Tour outfits.
Get creative before Taylor comes to London next Last week, the brand, owned by the UK’s youngest billionaire, Ben Francis, launched a collection of clothing inspired by the star.
And the best part? You can purchase one of the items this week as excitement builds.
The brand created five looks, from its eye-catching 1989 ensemble to its Reputation snake jumpsuit, using its current designs and getting creative.
Turns out, many Swifties started making their own outfits for the tour — from jewel-embellished Lover tights to recreating her Evermore floral Grammys dress.
Clearly inspired by creativity, Gymshark began creating their own by tearing apart leggings and long-sleeved shirts to create the Reputation jumpsuit.
They even paired a navy blue workout top with micro shorts to recreate her stunning Midnights leotard.
And of course, they couldn’t miss her latest addition to the tour, her white Department of Tortured Poets dress.
But that’s not all, the brand has also given its infamous ’22’ t-shirt a twist of its own.
The t-shirt that comes from her album Red has been redesigned to say ‘I Bet You Think About Gymnastics’, a play on her song ‘I Bet You Think About Me’.
And now, Swifties can get it for a limited time.
The t-shirt that would look great at the gym or wherever you want can be purchased today at Gymshark’s Regent Street store in London.
Emily Lorimer, head of social media at Gymshark, said: “We couldn’t let the biggest cultural music moment of 2024 pass without getting a little involved.
“We know there are legions of Swifties in our community who love fitness as much as Taylor does, so we thought ‘why not do something responsive that ticks both boxes’. For the record, we’re always in the age of the gym.”
They’re not the only UK store acquired by Swifties.
Are Taylor Swift Eras products worth the price?
BEFORE seeing Taylor in action, Fabulous digital writer Leanne Hall weighs in on whether the product is really worth the price:
“As a 29-year-old Swiftie who broke into the top 0.1% of Taylor’s listeners on Spotify last year, you could say I’m super excited to see her on Era’s Tour in London later this month.
“With the three-hour set list, it’s no surprise that Taylor was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year and fans lucky enough to get tickets know they’re about to see the show of the century.
“The Eras Tour catapulted the singer/songwriter into the billionaires’ club, and it’s no surprise when some tickets in the UK were costing almost £700 each.
“Although the tickets were expensive, their merchandise isn’t too far off the price of most artists, and I for one will spend hundreds to get tour sweaters and t-shirts.
“While £70 for a hoodie would make me think twice if I were shopping in a store, this isn’t your average hoodie.
“Yes, you’ll look fabulous going to the shops in it, but it’s also a piece of the day you can cherish forever, and for me and many other Swifties, no price can match that.”
Fans spent so much time and money getting the perfect outfit for the show that DIY and trade retailer Wickes had to stock up on an essential DIY tool.
Glue gun sales increased 20% compared to the same period last year.
With over 76,000 videos under the hashtag #erastouroutfits on TikTokIt’s no surprise that fans of the ‘Love Story’ singer are flocking to get their hands on DIY gear like glue guns to enhance her perfect ‘Era’s Tour’ look.
Shelley Allison, head of marketing at Wickes, said: “This is a huge jump in sales and we expect it to increase further when Taylor Swift begins her UK leg of the tour.
“We’re making sure we have enough stock for this, and of course we welcome swifties to our store for all your DIY costume needs!”
Making sure the whole room sparkles with your DIY outfits, shoppers can purchase the General Purpose Glue Gun Kit for just £16.50 at Wickes.
