EVEN supermodels like Heidi Klum, contrary to their noble titles, are not immune to human error – or worse in the fashion world – a bad outfit.

While taking risks often comes with the territory, it’s debatable whether some of Klum’s controversial styles have paid off.

You’ve heard of “tasteful” cleavage, but some argue that Klum’s appearance at the Cannes Film Festival was more dangerous.

Other bold — or not bold enough — looks have earned their place on various “worst dressed” lists.

Cannes close to wardrobe malfunction

A supermodel’s job is usually to demand attention, and demand it she did so on the red carpet at last year’s Cannes Film Festival in a bright canary yellow dress.

Participants couldn’t take their eyes off the model even if they tried, and not just because of the eye-catching color of her cut.

The Zuhair Murad dress put Klum in the spotlight, showing off a lot of her lower breasts and waist with criss-cross cutouts on the chest and waist.

A high leg slit that went up to her waist even showed off the long-legged model’s toned physique.

Two panels of yellow fabric attached to her shoulders imitated the effect of wings, creating a cape that she wore for dramatic effect (there’s always room for more drama).

Although Klum almost experienced a wardrobe malfunction with the dress’s plunging neckline, like a true pro, she kept things under control and continued smiling for the cameras.

Lingerie as outerwear

Lately, wearing lingerie as outerwear has emerged as a controversial fashion trend.

Klum, however, appears to be a fan of the movement, as she wore a lingerie-inspired dress to the 2024 Grammys.

The blonde bombshell wore a skintight little black number that could have passed for mysterious and elusive if it weren’t for the sheer top and diamond-encrusted black bra design.

Although Klum was all smiles on the red carpet, the sparkle wasn’t just limited to her deep brown eyes — no, reader, they were also visible in the dress’s diamond bikini cutout.

Crop or crop

Klum has proven herself to be the Queen of Cutouts, especially after her appearance at the iHeartRadio Awards.

The model stepped out in a bejeweled cobalt blue Julien Macdonald gown complete with chain mail and matching accessories, from earrings to toenails.

Once again a fan of the high leg slit, Klum’s long legs were on full display.

So did her torso and plenty of cleavage, thanks to a blue side panel that connected to the opposite shoulder.

Luckily for the model, no wardrobe malfunctions occurred that night, likely thanks to the liberal use of tape.

All that glitters is… silver

Heidi stood out on the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet in a silver sequin gown, complete with a white-purple boa.

The Kevin Germanier spring 2023 piece included a deep sweetheart neckline and cutouts covered with nude-colored fabric.

The supermodel paired the ensemble with a thick silver necklace, which gave the dress the appearance of a mock neck.

She added a silver clutch, silver stilettos, and silver nails to complete the look.

Lowest marks

A Marc Jacobs silk halter gown earned Klum the lowest marks — and a spot on worst-dressed lists — on the 2011 Golden Globes carpet.

She walked down the aisle in a fluid red, brown and nude piece that she paired with gold high heels with a red bottom.

We’re not sure what clothing critics had issues with — the list is quite extensive.

It could be the big brown bow tied around her waist, the dozen thick brown bracelets on her wrists, or the mismatched and unflattering reddish-orange toenails and matching lip color.

All cute

Celebrities are just like you and me, and Klum seems determined to prove it with a look almost straight out of FashionNova.

The Project Runway host donned a tied-up lavender dress with side cutouts and a plunging neckline for DIRECTV presents Maxim Electric Nights at City Market.

She layered a fuzzy beige jacket over her strappy dress and carried a burgundy handbag.

To finish off the look, she fluffed and curled her signature blonde hair into a partial updo that perfectly matched her jacket.

With all the textures and strings, viewers may not know where to look. Did we mention the bright red nails and pink clear plastic heels?
