In a viral TikTok videouser Janna Kelly (@jannakellyh) recalled her surprising discovery while showing off the sophisticated bag.

“I bought this original Balenciaga at Jenna Lyons’ closet sale last week and realized it was her daily driver because it’s pretty worn out, but it’s amazing,” she said.

Janna held up her black leather Balenciaga bag, with gold details, for her followers to see.

She revealed that she shelled out $150 for the original designer bag.

Janna also picked up a wide range of other items at the closet sale, including designer shirts and a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels.

After using the bag for “a few days,” she investigated the side pocket.

“I opened this pocket, which I had never opened before, and can we please wait a moment for it to be full of things,” she said.

Most of the contents appeared to be random items, including a mechanical pencil, a set of keys, Advil and a piece of paper with a phone number written on it.

However, an item belonging to Jenna Lyons caught Janna’s attention.

The designer left her J. Crew ID badge in the pocket of her bag.

Janna described feeling “shaken” by the accidental discovery.

Viewers encouraged the TikToker to return the ID card to the designer.

However, in a follow-up videoJanna shared a conversation between her and the fashion icon.

Jenna Lyons contacted the social media user, criticizing her for making the video and laughing about the situation.

“I think it’s safe to say she doesn’t want her ID back, it’s mine, I’m framing it,” Janna said.

Jenna Lyons worked for J. Crew from 1990 to 2017.

During her tenure at the company, she became known as the “Woman Who Dresses America.”
