A WOMAN has revealed the horrific moment her daughter threw wine over her at her friend’s wedding, leaving her in tears.

The mother took to social media to share the story and shared an image of her daughter’s wedding guest dress to prove that this was not the cause.

She said: “My daughter attending a wedding where the mother of the bride inexplicably walked up to her and spilled a glass of white wine on her dress has alarmed the women of the internet.”

In the video, her mother showed off her daughter’s dress, which was a beautiful floor-length satin dress in sunflower yellow.

“The dress is clearly not white,” she said in response to those who asked what the dress looked like.

The mother added that her daughter did not react to the situation, despite crying.

Even though the wedding took place two years ago, the bride still had no idea about the situation.

She added: “They never told the couple because the couple is Cool and they don’t want the couple to know.

“Why tell the couple that your mother is a psychopath? If the mother is a psychopath, the daughter probably already knows it.

“I think it’s also very elegant for them to sleep on it. I don’t have the class to share this.”

But despite the situation, the mother still had no idea why her daughter was attacked.

Many people came to their own conclusion, assuming that their daughter looked so beautiful that the bride’s mother was afraid she was outshining the bride.

But the real reason was still a complete mystery.

Wedding guest criticized over ‘pink’ dress debate!

The clip has since gone viral on her TikTok account @themedicarefamily with more than 7 million views and 500 thousand likes.

People were quick to share their opinions on why the drink was thrown at their daughter.

One person wrote: “Please tell the bride. She needs to know.”

Another commented: “This has become common at some weddings when someone else purposely wears white to outshine the bride. In this case, I think the bride’s mother didn’t like her looking pretty and decided to do it anyway.

Dos and Don’ts of Wedding Dress Codes

By Josie Griffiths, Fabulous deputy editor and bride-to-be.

I will never forget the wedding I went to in October 2022, where a guest wore a white dress.

It was ill-fitting, knee-length, and looked nothing like a real wedding dress, but that didn’t stop everyone from judging her.

The rules about wedding guest attire — which are annoyingly stricter for women than men — are meant to be about “not outshining the bride,” which is actually pretty hard to do on someone else’s wedding day.

But if you get it wrong as a guest, you’ll end up looking a little silly and in front of a bunch of people who don’t know you personally.

It’s just not the occasion for your new white dress, no matter how much online stores love to throw it in the ‘wedding guest’ section.

I would avoid anything too tight/short and ditch the super formal dresses unless the dress code requires them – you don’t want to wear a long sequin dress to a smart casual event.

Personally I don’t like black dresses either, it’s not a funeral.

Otherwise you will be quite safe. Technically, wearing red means you’re in love with your fiancé, but that’s the kind of rule most people would scoff at these days.

I always check the bridesmaids’ color, just to be safe, after the Spanish wedding, where I saw them walk down the aisle in exactly the same dress I had in my Asos shopping basket weeks before.

When in doubt, it’s safest to just check with the bride… but if you’re already doubting your dress, this might be the answer you need.

“She should definitely tell her friend now. The wedding is over, it’s not going to ruin her day at this point. Your daughter deserves an apology from her mother,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Seems like MIL was jealous of how great the dress looked on her daughter and decided she was “outshining” the bride or something. Only logical explanation I can think of.”

“I would have left in tears,” said a fifth.

“She was crying,” the mother replied.

Another person added: “Whatever the reason for the unacceptable behavior, your daughter and her boyfriend demonstrated great restraint and maturity.”
