We all know that supermarkets have seriously stepped up their fashion game.

But it’s not just workwear and fancy clothes that are worth buying – supermarket pajamas are fast becoming a winner among fashionistas too.

This includes Tu at Sainsbury’s, which is receiving rave reviews on social media for its new pajamas offering.

And the best part? Several sets are already on sale.

Content creator Lottie took to Instagram to show off the pieces she spotted at her local Sainos.

“Okay, but why are supermarket clothes getting cuter and cuter?” she wrote.

“These pajamas are giving me the best coastal summer vibes.”

The designs she recorded included the traditional Tu White Broderie Hem Pajamas, which were reduced from £20 to £15.

“Refresh your loungewear with our white pajamas,” said Sainsbury bosses.

“Including a short-sleeved pajama shirt and pajama bottoms, they feature a pretty embroidered hem for a touch of summer style.”

Keeping it classic, Lottie also introduced traditional Tu Blue Stripe pajamas.

This is the brand’s second best seller and is currently just £13.50, down from £18.

One shopper in Lottie’s video dubbed the sets “too cute not to buy.”

The neutral striped Seersucker pajama shirt and pants also shared by Lottie have also been scaled back.

Both pieces are now £9 each, down from £12.

“Fresh from our spring/summer pajama edit, our neutral striped pajama shirt comes in a lightweight cotton fabric to keep you cool and comfortable all night,” said Sainsbury’s bosses.

Reasons to buy supermarket fashion

When looking for new pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe or update basics, there’s no need to spend hours wandering around clothing stores or browsing online. Just grab a dress or two along with your fruits and vegetables…

They are convenient – You are likely to visit your supermarket more often than a shopping center or high street.

It’s affordable – From basics to fashion-forward pieces, supermarkets are paving the way for budget-friendly fashion that doesn’t look cheap.

They are more fashionable than you think – With a customer database larger than the average high street store, stores such as ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco are able to serve markets and forecast trends in many more areas than just food supply.

They fit well – Fits and lengths often come with a little more modesty in mind. The fabrics also tend to be highly practical – think plenty of 100% cotton that can be thrown into the washing machine without thinking.

“As part of a basic set, pair it with our matching pajama bottoms to complete the look.”

Tu’s Cream Henley Waffle Pajamas have also been reduced from £18 to £13.50.

“Made from a soft, pure cotton fabric, our Henley waffle pajamas come in a beautiful neutral cream shade,” the bosses said.

“T-shirt style, our set includes a short-sleeved pajama top with button detailing at the neckline and matching pajama bottoms.”
