The supermarket brand shared how it’s selling a striped linen set that’s stylish and cool in warm weather.

They carried a video showing fashion lover Leila Torá modeling the look.

She was wearing the Coord White Stripe Linen Blend Cami and Pants, which looked ideal for outings, shopping or to wear on vacation.

The top, which costs £14, has a square neckline, tie straps, side zip and flattering peplum hem.

It’s being sold in sizes 8 to 26 and currently has a five-star rating.

Meanwhile, the White Stripe Linen Blend wide-leg trousers cost £16 and have an elasticated back, matching belt and two side pockets.

It comes in the same striped linen-blend fabric and is available in sizes 6 to 24.

Shoppers gave the outfit rave reviews on the Asda website, with one person leaving it five stars, saying: “Gorgeous outfit looks great!”

In the look video, Asda wrote: “Sun out, summer wardrobe out!

“Shop perfect new arrivals for this weather, online and in stores now – prices from £14.

“Linen blend cami and pants with white stripes from £14.”

One person commented on the video: “Love.”

Another added: “They are all stunning.”

It’s not the only Asda clothing causing controversy.

A fashion fan claims she’s found the perfect set that’s stylish and cool in hot weather – and she “can’t believe” it’s from Asda.

Catrina used TikTok to film The video of her visit to the supermarket’s fashion section as she gave her thoughts on the latest offerings.

But it was a £35 white maxi dress from Asda Studio Edit that really caught Catrina’s eye.

And when she got home and filmed her audition for TikTok, she insisted that the white dress needed its own video.

Is supermarket fashion the new high street?

Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in:

Supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, when you go to do your weekly food shopping, you can also choose from a selection of stylish, purse-friendly pieces for the whole family.

Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent rise for the quarter thanks to “strong growth in clothing” and M&S has claimed the title of number one womenswear destination on the high street.

Asda’s George clothing range made £1.5m for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury’s clothes were sold at full price rather than discounts and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales also rose by 2 per cent last year .

So what is it about supermarket fashion that is so successful?

Not only are the clothes really affordable, they’re also good quality – many of them being part of programs like the Better Cotton Initiative.

They often stick to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year.

Plus, because they buy so much inventory, they can deliver parts quickly and buy cheaper because of the volumes.

“It’s absolutely incredible,” she gushed.

The dress is also made from 100% cotton, so it’s perfect to wear to keep cool on hot days.

And the positive reviews continued to arrive on George’s website as well.

“This dress is so beautiful and looks so much more expensive,” one wrote.

‘Definitely a timeless summer dress… true to size and lots of volume!’

“I love a cotton sundress and this one ticked all the boxes for me,” added another.
