It’s a summer wardrobe staple for many.

But one thing that can’t be said about the t-shirt dress is that it’s flattering — thanks to its oversized, boxy cut.

Ayla took to TikTok to share a look at an H&M t-shirt dress, which looks gorgeous thanks to the darts on the back

However, there is a new t-shirt dress on the market and it is one of the first to flatter a woman’s body.

Ayla I took it to TikTok to share a look with the waist t-shirt dress, which comes in three different colors and sizes from XS to XXL.

It’s also just £12.99, meaning it won’t break the bank.

“FINALLY a flattering t-shirt dress!” Ayla wrote above the video.

“The T-shirt dress from H&M that actually looks feminine when you wear it.”

“A clearer video of H&M’s flattering t-shirt dress. THE WAIST GOES AWAY,” she captioned the video.

The short dress has a scoop neckline and straight hem, but has waist pleats at the back for a “tapered waist,” according to the H&M website.

And people were quick to comment on the clip, with many admitting they had already bought the dress.

“I can confirm this, I have the white and the black,” wrote one.

“So flattering!”

M&S shoppers swoon over ‘perfect’ jeans, so much so they’re buying multiples

“I have it in blue, it looks fantastic and can be dressed up and down,” added another.

“I bought this in black, I loved it!” a third commented.

“Zara duuuuppppeeee,” said someone else.

“I bought this in black, TOTALLY recommended,” raved another.

“I have it in baby blue, it’s really cute,” someone else agreed.

“I have them in black and white. They are my go-to piece now,” said another.

Another person advised evaluating the dress because it is “too small.”

But not everyone agreed with the dress.

How to look chic on a budget

Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger and beauty journalist Samantha Silver have revealed how you can elevate your looks without spending hundreds of pounds.

  1. Never spend on designer jeans: River Island ”always has a great selection of fashionable jeans that follow current trends”. The high street retailer offers a huge range of sizes for UK 6 – UK 18 and three leg lengths – and prices start at an affordable £25.
  2. There are no rules for jewelry: ”Buy something at a car boot sale or charity shop, browse Vinted and eBay, buy something in the clothing section of your local supermarket when shopping, or check out high street clothing stores.”
  3. Don’t forget your favorite sites: With a growing number of second-hand sites like Vinted and Depop, there’s no excuse not to buy – or sell – used clothes. Gemma, for example, managed to get her hands on chic Chanel sunglasses for just £17.

“I want a loose t-shirt to cover my body,” wrote one.

“It’s not very pretty and it’s very transparent!” another argued.

“You would do this with your own tops if you had a sewing machine and knew how to sew a stitch,” commented a third.

“IT’S SEEING THROUGH,” said someone else.

“I understood and literally cried!”
