It’s the accessory most fashionistas wore in the ’90s — and now the viral zigzag headband is back in stores.

From low-rise jeans to layered boho skirts, disco belts and velvet tracksuits, the ’90s are slowly making their way back onto the streets and into our wardrobes.

But it’s not just iconic clothes that have returned like a ghost from decades ago – once-popular accessories are also becoming increasingly fashionable in the fashion world of 2024.

And if you lived through the ’90s and early ’00s, you’ll definitely remember the endless pain and scratches of wearing the viral zigzag hairband.

Whether you’ve recovered from the trauma or not, the accessory was recently spotted at Claire’s — and fashionistas went into a frenzy.

The accordion headband, which you can pack in black and tortoiseshell print, is on sale for £2.25 and comes in a pack of two – which is handy in case they break like they used to.

The stylish bargain was discovered by modern mum Nikki, who took to TikTok to share the news.

“Am I the only one who didn’t know that Claire sells this? ” The dark-haired beauty wondered in the clip.

Trying to style her beautiful hair with the accessory, Nikki – who posts under the username @Nikkissecretxx – first place it around your neck, before pulling the band above your head.

”This is going to be amazing – even if it’s just to use it at home.

“I remember this from back in the day,” the fabulous mom said, noting that you could complete the look with a choker.

”I love this bandana @Claire but they sell them pretty much everywhere now,” Nikki continued in the caption.

”The hard bandanas hurt behind my ears.”

But it’s not just Nikki raving about the stylish bargain that’s giving us major backlash – other social media users were happy with the news.

Hundreds of people turned out to comment, as many revealed they were quite moved by the iconic – and historic – trend.

”OH MY GOD!!! I haven’t seen this in years! You just brought back memories,” one of them shouted.

All the 90s trends that are back

It may be 2024, but fashion fans are looking to the past when it comes to new styles. So what ’90s trends are making a comeback these days?

Claw Clips

These hair accessories were a huge trend in the ’90s, but now they’re more popular among those experimenting with the “clean girl” aesthetic. Designers like Prada have released their own versions, although there are thousands of colors and styles to choose from on the high street.

Platform slippers

Again a popular choice among fashionistas in the ’90s, these heels have made a comeback with designers like Balenciaga trying their luck with their own styles.

Cargo pants

Once worn by All Saints stars, cargo pants became a popular trend among teenagers in the ’90s. But now they’ve gotten a fashion makeover, with stars like Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber putting their own spin on the trend.

Jeans and a beautiful top

It was the phrase that defined fashion for a decade, and now famous faces like Sofia Richie are sporting the reinvented trend – pairing their own denim with a more sophisticated top. But are you willing to take your cute jeans and tops out of your wardrobe for a second time?

Another joked: ”Omg loved them but man when they stab they STABBBB.”

“2000 baby here and I used to wear this all the time, it even had different colors,” a third added.

“I love these, but they never look this destroyed in my hair,” commented one style enthusiast.

“Primark sells them too!” revealed a fellow fashion lover.
