Stylish Instagram user Lauren Sharkey is certainly someone who knows this, regularly sharing fashion inspiration on her page.

But recently the 27-year-old’s platform went viral for all the wrong reasons, after cruel trolls thought one of her outfits was missing a crucial element.

In the videothe US-based style guru can be seen proudly showing off her evening look, before heading to the launch in Chicago.

The outfit, the gorgeous blonde revealed, consisted of gray Zara baggy pants, a belt she bought on Etsy, black heels, as well as a SKIMS bralette that she wore as a top.

The final look was completed with the trendy elegant bun, some accessories and a black clutch in her hands.

All enchanted by the stylish set, Lauren wrote in the caption: ”@cschicagosocial Launch of the energy list.

”A weekday date night downtown calls for a statement look – bralette, platforms and statement jewelry!”

However, although the young fashionista looked incredible and confident, many social media users took issue with one aspect in particular – wearing a bralette without anything else.

Thousands of people gathered to comment on the video, which racked up an impressive million views in just one week.

“People need to stop acting like a BRAlette is appropriate clothing. It’s literally underwear,” one person wrote, while more than 5,000 others liked it.

Celebrities proudly show that natural breasts are back, no matter the shape or size

”’My God, this is tragic,” was how another reviewer felt about the final look.

Meanwhile, someone else thought the bralette gave off gym vibes.

”This sports bra looks like it’s from Walmart. This ruins the fit.

“Underwear goes UNDER clothes,” commented a fourth.
