Shoppers have been sharing photos of discounts in stores, showing racks of discounted clothing.
Taking to Facebook group Extreme Coupons and Bargains in the UKone bargain hunter wrote: “Huge 50% off almost everything in Matalan today at Kingston Park.”
Included in the sale were half-price tops, dresses, and shoes.
And the offer is not just on adult clothes, as the buyer showed how there were savings in the children’s section too.
Their post racked up countless likes and many people seemed Photograph make some bargains.
One wrote: “Gotta get there.”
Another added: “Trying to make myself poor again.”
And a third commented: “let’s go”.
Don’t worry if you can’t get to the stores, as sales also take place online.
It is without a doubt one of the most popular high street fashion stores.
But when it comes to your name, people regularly get it wrong.
The Matalan TikTok page shared a video in front of a store, written above: “Our name is Matalan, but we are also called…”
O next slide had “Mataland” written on it.
“Special thanks to Matt and Alan too,” they added in the caption.

And in the comments section, people admitted they had been guilty of using the wrong name in the past.
“OMG I call this Mataland,” wrote one.
To which Matalan replied: “You are part of a very big club!”
“My mother in law called it Mataland, she also says Primart”, another laughed.
“I told my son we were going to Mataland and he was very excited, until we stopped,” commented a third.

To which Matalan replied: “Unfortunately, she is a liar!”
“I worked in Matalan for 6 years when I was in college/university, my dad called it Mataland the entire time I was there!!” another laughed.
