And for most of us, our everyday watch is no longer the classic metal watch – it’s a smartwatch that tracks our activity, allows us to send text messages and, of course, tells the time.

From Apple Watches to FitBits, they’re not just a piece of technology; they are a fashion statement.

But with constant wear, bracelets can accumulate dirt, sweat and oils, which can make the bracelet very dirty.

This is a particular problem if you use a lighter colored rubber strap.

Over time, your smartwatch band can become a breeding ground for bacteria and allergens.

Regular cleaning helps prevent skin irritation and allergic reactions – but it also ensures that your watch always looks stylish and modern.

But how do you bring a worn belt back from the brink of despair?

Luckily, a former Apple employee shared his hack for making your smartwatch band look like new — and it works great with the rubber ones.

“I worked at Apple and had the white bracelet,” Katie Potts wrote on Facebook.

“And that was the only thing that worked wonders.”

The product is The Pink Stuff Cream Cleaner, which costs just £1 for a 500ml bottle at The Range.

According to another Facebook user, it’s actually the best way to revive your watch’s dirty strap.

“Cleaned mine today with Pink Stuff and it’s as good as new,” wrote Lorraine McArdle.

“I’m very happy because I was going to buy a new one.”

Elaine Hall added that the stylish cleaning product brought her watch “back to life”.
