Ayla took it to TikTok to share her excitement about the shorts’ arrival in store by sharing a video of them lined up on the tracks.

“RUN to Next for the short version of their ribbed, high-waisted leggings!” she wrote over the clip.

She added that the shorts are “so thick and stretchy and such a good price”, costing just £16.

“The next leggings, but like shorts in all colors! SO flattering,” Ayla wrote in the video’s caption.

“Are their leggings any good?” one person asked in the comments section.

“I’ve seen them, but I’ve never had a chance to try them!”

“They are amazing!!” Ayla replied.

“I have 3 different colors and they are amazing, figure hugging and the material is 10/10.”

“Oh, thanks. I’ll get some next time I’m at the store!” the woman replied.

“I loved my leggings!” another added.

On the Next website, the shorts are available in gray, khaki green and black.

“Ideal for busy days, our soft and stretchy cycling shorts are perfect for the warmer months,” the store writes about the shorts.

“Whether you’re lounging at home or hiking in the woods, these shorts are a wardrobe staple you won’t be able to live without.

“Style with our ribbed back tee or an oversized hoodie for casual street style.”

And the positive reviews of the shorts continued to pour in on the site, with one satisfied customer writing: “Fantastic quality of shorts.

“Fits like a glove!”

How to Make the Most of Your Next Sale

THESE tips from a Next employee can help you secure the best bargains when the sale goes live.

  1. Familiarize yourself with the stock – check in store and online to see what items you might like, meaning you can act quickly when prices start to drop.
  2. Check online – the sale often launches online before the stores open, so go digital for the best bargains.
  3. Consider the VIP scheme – if you have a credit account you can have access to sales to the general public.
  4. Choose the right store – smaller outlets will likely be less crowded, so you may have less competition for business.
  5. Buy at the end of the day – about two hours before closing, people start replenishing stock for the next day, so this is a great time to go to the stores.
  6. See ticket codes – if you are on a Next, pay attention to the black dots on the tickets; This likely means an item will be discounted, so it’s best to wait until the price drops.
  7. Homewares and women’s clothing sell faster – so you might want to hit the stores soon for these items.

“Good fit, comfortable and cute,” added another.

The legging version of the shorts costs £20 and comes in sizes small to extra-large and in petite and regular lengths.

They also come in seven different colors, including chocolate brown, neutral, and slate gray.

“These are great leggings, they hold everything in and are smooth which gives a fabulous look,” one person said of the pants.

“Love these leggings,” added another.

“I have them in black too. Get in shape and take the pounds off you.”

“Gorgeous fit – looks great at the gym but also works with a hoodie or cropped as a casual look,” wrote a third.

“Unbranded, making them an easy and versatile compression, excellent compression and non-see-through!

“No visible cellulite bonus – from a lady who has a big butt, that’s a yes from me!”

The shorts also come in a variety of colors
