OF all the ’90s fashion trends making a comeback this summer, this comfy one is sure to be popular.

Loose-fitting leggings checked all the boxes three decades ago—flattering, comfortable, and versatile—and now they’re ready to be a wardrobe staple again.

It doesn’t matter if you’re going to the gym, shopping, or going out for dinner and drinks, they can be worn with anything.

And their flared silhouette means they look good on any shape.

They flew off Primark shelves last year and now the high street store has launched a brand new version.

The new V-Waist Flared Yoga Leggings are made in a slightly thicker ‘gym leggings’ material, which makes it feel like you’re getting more for your money.

Priced at £12, they come in sizes XXS – L and promise to be “as stylish as they are sporty” with their crossover waistband and wide fit.

Primark bosses say: “These yoga leggings are the perfect combination of comfort and style for your active, athletic or leisure look!

“Featuring a flared silhouette and a V-front crossover waistband, they offer a flattering fit that moves with you.

“Whether you’re on the mat or doing other tasks, these leggings give you the flexibility and support you need for everyday life.

“Pair them with a sports bra for your workout or a cozy sweater for a casual chic look. You’ll love how versatile and comfortable they are!”

The retail giant’s Sauchiehall Street store in Glasgow has since gone viral with more than 190,000 views after sharing a clip of the new baggy leggings on its shelves.

Primark fans rave about viral dress which is the ‘most perfect wardrobe basic’ – and costs just £10

And they’re already proving extremely popular with shoppers who rush to the nearest branch to pick up a pair.

“I’m currently using it. I love it,” said one of them.

A second shouted: “Guys, you need to get them, I can’t stop using mine.”

A third echoed: “I got them in RN”.

A fourth said: “Make sure you have some encouragement coming to them.”

A fifth pleaded: “I want some. They look cute.”

Meanwhile, a sixth wrote: “I better be able to find this.”

’90s and 90s styles have been taking over the streets in recent months – we’re looking at baby tees, disco belts and leopard print.

Now, an iconic shoe trend is also back — and we’re not talking about ballet flats or flats.

Classic Swedish clogs were a boho staple for celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, Alexa Chung, and Kate Moss back in the day.

The Sex and the City star has since given the return her stamp of approval after being spotted in them while filming the new season of And Just Like That last month.

So it’s no surprise that high street stores are embracing the clip clopping style again, with New Look, River Island and ASOS all stocking their own versions.

But it’s a £22 budget option in Primark’s Rita Ora collection that has caught shoppers’ attention.

Other ’90s trends making a comeback

It may be 2024, but fashion fans are looking to the past when it comes to new styles. So what ’90s trends are making a comeback these days?

Claw Clips

These hair accessories were a huge trend in the ’90s, but now they’re more popular among those experimenting with the “clean girl” aesthetic. Designers like Prada have released their own versions, although there are thousands of colors and styles to choose from on the high street.

Platform slippers

Again a popular choice among fashionistas in the ’90s, these heels have made a comeback with designers like Balenciaga trying their luck with their own styles.

Cargo pants

Once worn by All Saints stars, cargo pants became a popular trend among teenagers in the ’90s. But now they’ve gotten a fashion makeover, with stars like Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber putting their own spin on the trend.

Jeans and a beautiful top

It was the phrase that defined fashion for a decade, and now famous faces like Sofia Richie are sporting the reinvented trend – pairing their own denim with a more sophisticated top. But are you willing to take your cute jeans and tops out of your wardrobe for a second time?
