PRIMARK is known for releasing stylish items that bear striking similarities to designer versions.
And the high street giant has delivered the goods once again in the form of a £12 summer bag that will look perfect on the beach.
Modeling it in store, an employee at the Sauchiehall Street branch in Glasgow said: “Mistake alert. Everyday bag just £12.”
The bag in question is a medium cream canvas tote bag with beige leather trim and handles.
Primark bosses say: “Elevate your carry style with our stylish canvas bag, featuring a soft yet structured design in a stylish two-tone cream and brown palette!
“Perfectly versatile, it features small sturdy handles for a classic look and a detachable strap for convenient hands-free carrying.
“Whether you’re heading to the grocery store, the office or a weekend getaway, this bag combines functionality with effortless elegance.
“Its durable canvas construction ensures it can handle all your essentials while maintaining its sleek shape.
‘Make this your go-to bag for any occasion, combining practicality with timeless style!’
And savvy shoppers might note that it’s the perfect model for Chloe’s mid-range £950 Woody bag.
The designer bag is crafted from low-impact linen canvas, detailed with shiny calfskin straps.
It is hailed as a “spacious bag with a strong summer attitude” and features a roomy internal compartment with a practical flat pocket.
The bag’s modern lines are emphasized by the contrasting vertical leather straps and the ribbon with the exclusive Chloé logo. Carry this bag comfortably on your shoulder.
The only difference between the two? A cool £938.
So if you’re on a tight budget, you might want to head to your nearest Primark.
And while you’re in the store, you might notice that the cowgirl trend is back in a big way.
Led by proud “horse girl” Bella Hadid and cemented in the mainstream during Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter era, everyone is after Western boots and a saddlebag.
However, you don’t have to shell out designer prices to participate in the style.
Of course, it would be nice to have the 1955 Gucci Horsebit Mini Round Bag.
But at £2,290 each, it’s probably a distant dream for most of us.
Luckily, Primark has come to the rescue with its new offering of cowgirl bags.
Its new light and dark brown beige saddlebags have a very similar vibe to Gucci’s luxury pieces.
Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?
JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering fashionable items at such incredible prices? According to the bosses, it fell to four points.
- They “sell a lot of items” – thanks to this they are able to save money by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
- They “do very little advertising”
- Although their clothes offer the “latest trends,” they “do not use expensive hangers, tags, or labels.”
- And finally, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to package our t-shirts so they’re ready to go straight to the shelf.”

Just like the Italian brand’s bags, they come complete with a metal clasp and crossbody strap – all for £12.
A suede design, in chestnut or chocolate brown, was compared to the Yves Saint Laurent Le 5 À 7 Supple Large in Suède.
Primark has yet to reveal the price of the shoulder bag, but we can guarantee it’s a far cry from YSL’s £2,300 price tag.
The fast fashion brand joked that with the new bags you can “make the cowgirl trend your entire personality.”
