Shoppers are going crazy for Primark’s new Lion King baby range – and prices start at just £3.50

IF you’re obsessed with the Lion King, you might want to head to Primark.

The bargain retailer is currently selling a full range of Simba, Timon and Pumbaa-themed babies, and it looks adorable.

Shoppers took to social media to show off the bargain collection, which includes baby products.

In a clip on @magicalfindsuk website, a shopper showed how Primark has to sleep suits with the famous lion and his friends.

Some of the packages also came with cute matching bibs.

The collection – which was launched to celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary – costs just £3.50 for a duvet.

Meanwhile, two Lion King baby pajamas cost £9 a pack.

The website states: “Discover our collection of Disney Lion King apparel and accessories!

“Pay homage to your cutest Disney characters while cozying up in Simba pajamas.

“Or shop our Lion King baby clothes for the cub in your life!

“Looking for the perfect gift for a Disney lover? Look for our Lion King gifts too!”

Many buyers seemed desperate to Photograph thematic items.

One said: “I need to go”.

Another added: “Paradise.”

The Primark Lion King range isn’t just for kids.

They also have items for children, teenagers and adults too, including £15 pajamas and £12 hoodies.

The original Lion King film It premiered in theaters in 1994 and was directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff.

The cartoon movie characteristics a voice cast of Matthew Broderick, Whoopi Goldberg and Rowan Atkinson.

Meanwhile, the original songs were written by Elton John and lyricist Tim Rice, with the iconic soundtrack by Hans Zimmer.

We previously shared how the secrets of Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King five years ago were revealed, with director Jon Favreau saying “it was like it was 2019.”

The director said that the cast and crew imagined a “very modern” story for the new version of the tale.

Favreau said that in the years since the original film’s release, the comedy dated and also said that the cast and authenticity of the project should feel up to date.

The filmmaker, who was also behind the updated version of The Jungle Book, said he felt a responsibility to honor the source material.

He previously said: “I think everything should feel like it’s 2019.

“Whether it’s the music, the cast, the visual effects, the way we really try to embrace the authenticity of what inspired the original.

“So letting the comedy be updated as well, and making it feel modern, because that’s one of the areas where I felt 25 years ago, you felt the difference.”

Favreau said he wanted the film to feel fresh and similar to the original version.

He said he wanted the audience’s response to be, “Even though it’s a new movie, I saw The Lion King.”

He added: “So I hope the new generation goes back and looks at the old version too.”

Favreau also said he didn’t want the audience to miss out on a new experience, wanting to ensure, “It didn’t just feel like ‘I should have watched the cartoon,’ that this is something that’s building on something I already love.”
