A VINTED salesman was left embarrassed for trying to flog a 67p Shein ring with a 20 times profit margin.
With costs skyrocketing, millions of people around the world are looking for ways to earn some extra money – and the online platform Vinted has become one of the most popular side hustles for many.

But a member of the site, which was launched in 2008 by two Lithuanians, has now turned to TikTok to warn others about racy listings.
Fashion lover Emma-Grace recently revealed she came across a Vinted advert where the seller was flogging what he claimed was a Zara ring.
The stunning accessory was a gold ring with trendy pearl accents, which had a vintage feel.
In the listing, the seller, who has received a five-star positive review from happy customers, has priced it at £13.
The gorgeous ring, which the person insisted was purchased from the Spanish fashion giant, was also said to be “adjustable.”
However, after doing some research online, bride-to-be Emma was struggling to “find any evidence that this ring is actually Zara”.
According to Emma, who is getting married in 2025, the ring appears to have been ordered from Chinese retailer Shein – where you can bag it for 67 cents in the bag, or 20 times less.
Urging fellow fashionistas not to fall for the cheeky trick, Emma wrote in the caption: “Be careful out there.
”Does anyone know if this is really Zara? Because who’s buying it when you can get it for 67 cents?
Since it was posted on the platform, where Emma (@emsgracepeck) regularly shares lifestyle content, the video has racked up over 80,000 views.
Dozens of social media users rushed to comments criticizing the seller and confirming the origin of the jewelry.
“I have the same ring from Shein,” said one lover of the style, who noted that it was “not worth the £13 it was advertised for.”
“This ring is in my basket right now and costs less than a pound,” added one shopper.
”I have the same as Shein. It’s ok, but it has an adjustable headband which can be uncomfortable because it’s pointy – but it’s pretty and looks good in photos,” another person added.
