Fashionista Monica D (@blondebeachvibes) shared a fun trick for making a blouse out of a sarong.

It’s common to wear a sarong around your shoulders to protect yourself from sun damage and look chic, but Monica had another idea.

She demonstrated the process step by step to take your outfit from beach day to date night in a Instagram Reel.

The Honolulu resident advised viewers to “put on some linen pants and you’ll be ready for any occasion.”

First, she showed how she tied a knot in the middle of the sarong.

She then placed the knot on his shoulder.

Then she brought the two ends of the fabric from the back to the front and tied them together.

Then she brought the part hanging in front of her back and tied the ends.

“If you can’t tie the ends, you can tuck the fabric into your pants or skirt, it will look beautiful too,” she said.

Monica elevated her entire look in four easy-to-follow steps.

The style enthusiast teamed the look with black sunglasses and a large sun hat.

Monica said you can still try the scarf trick if you don’t have a sarong.

The results should be similar.

“Brilliant! Saved for my next trip (and night out outfit),” said another.

“Innovative,” added one Instagram user.

On her social networks, Monica shows her “day to day life on the beach in Hawaii”.
