SHE wanted a cute and stylish cake to announce her pregnancy and the sex of her unborn child.

But one mum was furious when the £50 cake she ordered from a local baker turned up looking “like a child”.

Kate I took it to TikTok to share a photo of what she wanted — a white heart-shaped cake with black frosting that said “Coming November 2024.”

The mom-to-be wanted her to say “In January 2025.”

And while the cake itself looked good, including the frosting spread around the edge, the writing itself looked choppy and unprofessional.

Kate then “made them redo”.

But the second attempt was even worse, with the writing even shakier and the “Jan” much thicker than anything else.

“I’m sorry, WHAT?!” she wrote over it.

In the end, Kate decided to “fix it herself” as she replaced the writing with pre-cut icing letters to read “Coming January 2025.”

“When you hire a baker to make a gender reveal cake… it went wrong,” she captioned the video.

“This is hilarious!!!” one person wrote in the comments section.

“Man, the second cake just keeps getting funnier,” another laughed.

To which Kate responded, “LMAOOOOOO I KNOW!”

“This is shocking!!! I’m a pastry chef and I could never do it!!!” a third exclaimed.

“When Temu makes his cake!” someone said.

But someone else tried to defend the baker, writing: “They literally write what you sent them.

“For me, they didn’t do anything wrong, other than a little sloppy.

“If you wanted that text, then you should have told them!?”

The struggle to choose a baby name

CHLOE Morgan, senior writer at Fabulous, revealed her dilemma when choosing a name for her baby…

At 35 weeks pregnant, by far the trickiest part of pregnancy for me over the last few months (minus the insomnia and countless nighttime breaks!) has been trying to decide on the baby’s name.

The dilemmas are endless…

My partner and I had a private exam to find out the sex as early as possible – partly because we thought it would make naming babies so much easier because we would only have to create a list of names for one gender instead of two.

How wrong we were…

I was absolutely thrilled to learn I was expecting the girl I’d already dreamed of, but being one of the last friends to get pregnant, I’ve had countless conversations over the years with excited friends discussing their top baby names. …something I wish I could go back in time and not hear.

With every friend mentioning at least 10 possible nicknames, I can’t help but feel that several are now off-limits, even though I know it’s something none of them would mind in the slightest – it’s a total turn-off for me!

The debate comes up again and again on social media forums – can you choose the same name that was a “potential” for a friend’s baby?

It’s a very divisive subject and opinions are always mixed… and I don’t want to be THAT person.

While some will argue that there are thousands of other names to choose from, others will say that you need to choose YOUR favorite… after all, there is no guarantee that this person will have another child.

Then there’s also the matter of finding a name you love… only to look it up online and read one negative review among hundreds of positive ones that you just can’t get rid of.

I made this same mistake when I fell in love with a certain name (I won’t reveal it because I don’t want to ruin it for others!)…only to have someone point out that it is constantly autocorrected on a phone to something quite rude.

So, we went back to the drawing board.

There are only five weeks left and it looks like our little one will be known as ‘baby gal’ for a while longer!

To which Kate replied: “I would have been fine with the text!

“It’s the real script. It looks like a child wrote it.

“So that’s why I decided to completely replace it when I had to repair it.”

“Anyone who wants to be a baker needs to know cursive and feel comfortable enough with icing to print,” another person commented.

“Writing is always much better in cursive. I’m sorry you had such a bad time,” someone sighed.

“That’s why I use chocolate letter molds so the writing looks perfect haha,” said another.

And others praised Kate’s decision to keep the cake, with one writing: “You fixed it beautifully!”

“Solid though, hail!!” another said.
