IF YOU’VE eaten at McDonald’s recently and thought their barbecue sauce tasted a little different, you’re not alone.

A fast food fan took to TikTok to share a video pointing out the difference between the “new” dip and the one they had received at the restaurant previously.

“When your autism senses the singular change of an ingredient in Maccies BBQ sauce,” they wrote at the top of the clip.

They then expanded the packaging of the sauces, with one stating the first ingredient is “sugar,” while the other listed “glucose-fructose syrup” as the first ingredient.

The sugar sauce listed first has glucose-fructose syrup as the fourth ingredient and vice versa – both on the sauce packaging and in the McDonald’s website.

In fact, on the McDonald’s website itself, the ingredients for both sauces are listed, with the caveat “either/or”.

Another difference in ingredients is that the sauce with sugar as the first ingredient has “natural flavors” and “citric acid,” while the one with glucose-fructose syrup first has “smoke flavors” and no citric acid.

The TikToker tagged McDonald’s in the caption, adding: “Honey, what is that sauce??”

And people were quick to comment on the clip, with many admitting they also noticed a change in the sauce.

“It tastes so sour I thought I had received an outdated one until I checked and it wasn’t,” one wrote.

To which the poster added: “It was me, I opened three packages and then dug up an old one and was like WAIT!”

“This completely ruined everything,” added another.

“The barbecue was one of the best – now it’s the worst.

Inside the McDonald’s kitchen and how YOUR burger is made – have you noticed five changes?

“Why change that?

“There was nothing wrong with that – I think you need to change @McDonalds BBQ, it was a mistake to change that.”

“OMG the same and I literally work there, I was so worried,” commented a third.

“It tastes like pure honey to me and I hate honey,” another person added.

“So I’m not the only one who thinks they taste different?” another said.

“I thought I was the only one who thought it tasted different!” someone else sighed.

“I thought it was funny the other day,” wrote another.

“I was even checking the sauce for mold!”

“My favorite sauce, now it tastes like sugary fruit?” someone commented.

As another admitted: “Hahaha, I went to McDonald’s about 20 minutes ago.

While another said: “Thank you for this video. I KNEW there was something different.”
