FOODIES has reason to celebrate this weekend as Aldi has announced the return of its much-loved garlic bread crisps.
The fan favorites will return to shelves on Sunday 19 May and will cost £1.15 for a 150g bag.
But you’ll have to be quick if you want to grab a bag, as they were completely sold out when they hit stores in February.
The specially selected fries were first released in 2023, and fans have been desperately asking for them to be permanently added to shelves.
“Glad to see these bad boys back,” wrote one person in the Aldi UK Shoppers Facebook group.
“Mid-aisle Specialbuy. They’re very Moorish!”
“I was literally saying I wish this flavor existed another day,” another added.
“These are the best fries we’ve had in years – so tasty!” a third commented.
“I saw them at my local Aldi yesterday – bought a stash of them!!!” someone wrote.
“They should definitely be a permanent fixture!!” another gushed.
As someone added: “My dream fries – I love them!”
In addition to the garlic bread crisps, the specially selected ‘Nduja Spice crinkle cut crisps and Pizza Margherita flavors are also returning to the shelves.
However, they’re all Specialbuys – so when they’re gone, they’re gone.
“I ate a whole bag of these yesterday,” one commented on an Instagram post announcing the return of garlic fries.
“I’m addicted to garlic bread so I need to try it,” added another.

“OMG I’m going to buy this now,” said a third.
However, not everyone was a fan of the new fries, with one writing: “I bought these for my boyfriend who is OBSESSED with garlic bread but he said they were disgusting and threw them in the bin!
“They didn’t smell good either!”
