This comes after savvy shopper Sebastian Vera took to social media to showcase its discounted food collection.

Posting on Facebook, at Yellow Sticker Tips, Tricks and Shoppinga private group with 182,800 members, Sainsbury’s fan and foodie, who is from South West London, shared a Photograph of its mega-launch.

Alongside a photo of his six-pack of British roast beef slices, Sebastian revealed: “This one almost moved me.”

Sebastian was lucky enough to get his hands on the meat packets, which have been reduced from £1.95 per packet to just 20p each.

With each pack having been reduced by £1.75, the bargain hunter then confirmed: “Sainsbury’s location at 7.40pm.”

He also added: “£11.70 roast beef for £1.20.”

Thrilled by his total saving of £10.50, the meat lover later admitted: “I love a good bargain.

“I was so happy.”

BIG DIVISION

But social media users were left completely divided by Sebastian’s post.

While some shoppers were left gobsmacked by their bargains, others were worried about the appearance of their beef.

Shoppers rejoice as a fizzy version of Sainsbury’s viral ‘chicken wine’ hits shelves and is already being called a ’10 out of 10′

One shopper wrote: “Amazing, I can’t get bargains like this. Good job.”

A second interrupted: “You have a brilliant result, well done.”

When do supermarkets launch yellow sticker bargains?

The length of time supermarkets reduce their products varies between stores.

Here’s a rough supermarket-by-supermarket guide:

Aldi

Aldi uses a red sticker to show reductions on fresh produce such as bread, meat, fruit and vegetables.

This is when they reach the last day of validity.

Items with red stickers are most commonly found at opening and closing times.

IN

Reduction times may vary from store to store, but are most likely to occur close to closing time.

Asda

Asda said Which? that the yellow stickers are applied twice a day – morning and evening.

Cooperative

The Co-op told The Sun that its reduced clearance prices are usually applied around four hours before the store closes.

Lidl

Lidl has a similar procedure to Asda and Aldi with twice-daily reductions.

However, individual stores may choose to reduce prices throughout the day.

Morrison

Online shoppers said Morrisons has the best bargains first thing in the morning.

However, the store said Which? There are no specific times for yellow sticker price reductions.

Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s told The Sun that it is at the discretion of the store manager to offer discounts.

However, shoppers have reported that the best deals are in the evening from 6pm onwards.

Tesco

Tesco said there is no specific time for the reduction, but again, most people have found prices to be reduced from 6pm.

Waitrose

As with most other stores, Waitrose shoppers said the best reductions are found before closing.

However, the store stated that there is no specific time for the yellow stickers to be applied.

Not only that, but other buyers admitted to being “jealous” and criticized Sebastian for his mega purchase.

One user wrote: “Could have saved some for other people you know.”

Another agreed: “I hope you left some for other people.”

While one Facebook user admitted: “I’m jealous.”
