Buying FOOD can be expensive these days and many people are looking for bargains for their families.
A Morrisons shopper praised his £10 meat dish and said it feeds three adults for five days.
They uploaded a photo of the “butcher’s summer BBQ meat package” in the Facebook group Feed your family on a budget.
Included in the package were four burgers, six sausages, three pieces of beef and four pieces of pork.
The shopper wrote in the caption: “Bought this in Morrisons before.
“Three adults here, but they can possibly get five days’ worth of meals with this package.”
Their post seems to have gone down well, with other shoppers watching their pennies.
It racked up over 500 likes and people shared their thoughts, with many saying it looked perfect for barbecue season.
One of them said: “It’s a good deal.”
Another added: “Seems like good value to come out and give us one I guess.”
Meanwhile, one person shared how they could get even more meals from the package.
They wrote: “Pork chops with roast or chips with peas and gravy.
“With one cutlet left, the steaks make a meat ragout that would make 6/8 portions!
“Sausage casserole full of vegetables and mash, etc.
“Burgers make meatballs and noodles, you would get four meatballs per burger, 24!
“You could make it extend to more meals than five!
“Sorry! Mother of 4 children, and my mother was a mother of 3 children and an apprentice husband, she taught me well.”
However, one person joked: “It wouldn’t last two days haha.”
If you want to save money on your meat, Robert Unwin, a butcher in Kendal, Cumbria, gave The Sun some tips.
It’s no secret that the cuts that cost the least tend to be the ones that need to be cooked the longest.
