The bargain hunter was left smiling after doing her weekly grocery shop at Aldi in South Elmsall, West Yorkshire, when she spotted a huge range of bargains.

Thrilled by her discoveries, Linda Ungure made sure to stock up on her red sticker purchases, many of which were reduced by a whopping 75%.

Clearly happy with her savings, the Aldi fan took to social media to warn other shoppers.

Posting in Yellow Sticker Tips, Tricks and Shoppinga private Facebook group with 182,800 members, Linda shared photos of her huge achievement and smiled: “Very happy!”

She then added: “One of my best [hauls] ever.”

Linda assured social media users that she actually left some of the reduced foods for others, as she stated: “And yes, I left [some] for other people too!

“There was a lot left and in fact no one was interested except me.”

Not only was Linda able to get her hands on several packages of smoked salmon, which were reduced by 75%, but she also picked up eggs that were reduced by 75%.

Additionally, Linda stole a selection of fruits and vegetables, including a prepared salad, packets of radishes, eggplants, spring onions, strawberries and potatoes.

If that wasn’t enough, the Aldi fan also got a potato salad and packets of cooked chicken breast slices – perfect for packed lunches.

Aldi’s latest special buys

Linda later confirmed: “I went around 3pm, but sometimes they have discounts even earlier, it just depends on the day.”

Linda shared her post just 16 hours ago, but it clearly impressed many as it quickly racked up almost 200 likes and 67 comments.

When is the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when stores open

Items with red stickers are rare across Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says none of its food goes to waste, so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommended retail price before stores open at their best time or best before date.”

This means you’ll have a better chance of finding reduced-price foods if you go to stores as soon as they open.

Opening hours vary depending on the store, but most open from 7am or 8am. You can find the hours of your nearest store using the supermarket online store finder tool.

For special purchases – Thursdays and Sundays

Special Buys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock arrives in stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally these are the best days to visit for the best one-off specials.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head to your local store during opening hours.

However, you don’t need to go to stores to buy a Specialbuy.

They are also on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, items will be delivered free of charge.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit asap

Social media users were left awestruck by Linda’s sheer quantity and many took to the comments to express this.

While one Aldi fan claimed Linda had “hit the jackpot” with her finds, others were surprised by her “amazing bargains”.

I loved how many of them were 75% off!

Another added: “Well done, amazing bargains.”

Why is Aldi so good at bargains?

THOMAS Gallagher, who has worked for Aldi for 10 years, has revealed how you can score the biggest bargains at the much-loved chain.

The best day to shop: According to Thomas, the best day to shop is Tuesday, especially before 10am and after 6pm. This is because stores are quieter than usual and so your chances of finding a bargain are higher.

Fresh food offerings: There is also a specific day of the week when a series of fresh food offers are launched, according to Thomas. He said in his store on this special day when his store’s “Weekly Fresh Deals” are Thursday.

Special purchases: Aldi shoppers know their mid-range aisle is legendary, where you can find the best products at incredibly low prices. For the latest offers from the Specialbuys range, visit stores on Thursdays and Sundays when products first launch. However, Thomas warned shoppers to be quick as they don’t stay on shelves for long.

How to find the cheapest products: Fresh foods can also be reduced by up to 75% throughout the day. Thomas explained how 30%, 50% or 75% discount stickers are applied to products at various times throughout the day as they approach their sell-by or use-by date to help reduce food waste . He added that products such as rice, pasta, cereals and preserves also suffer a 30% reduction if the packaging is imperfect.

A third commented: “Well done! Get lucky there.

At the same time, another bargain hunter smiled: “Impressive!”

Meanwhile, someone else wrote: “Love how many of them were 75% off!”
