It might not be sunny just yet, but we have a new favorite drink for when the sun does come out.

For those who didn’t know yet, Aldi has launched a new flavor of its cult drink Ballycastle and it’s perfect for summer.

The German supermarket’s drink is said to be almost identical to Baileys and customers can’t seem to get enough of the alcoholic beverage.

In fact, Aldi regularly releases seasonal themed flavors, which even included a version that tastes exactly like the Cadbury Creme Egg for Easter.

Most recently, the retailer launched a Piña Colada-inspired bevvy – which flew off the shelves as shoppers prepared for the holiday season.

However, a new flavor has appeared on shelves and it has an indulgent, ice cream-inspired taste. (Yes definitely)

Ballycastle is now available in a limited edition Madagascar Vanilla flavor which will be ideal for when warmer weather arrives.

Sharing the news on Facebook, Aldi wrote: “Ice cream just got drunk… Your favorite creamy drink has gotten an indulgent makeover with our new Madagascar vanilla flavor!”

Needless to say, customers are already getting into the spirit of things, as the post has already gone viral with over 6,900 likes.

In the comments, shoppers even begged Aldi to stop making new flavors as they couldn’t help but pick up a bottle.

One superfan wrote: “They just need to stop, I have no more room in my shame stash… you know I’m going to buy this tomorrow.”

Another then joked: “How am I going to lose weight if you keep giving me these beauties.”

“Wow, I need to try this on my shopping list now,” raved a third, with a fourth adding: “‘I just had a glass and oh my god it’s delicious.’

Others also praised Irish Cream, saying they loved the entire line and couldn’t wait to try the new drink.

“These are extremely good value, the whole range… I would say the tastiest supermarket cream liqueur,” said a fifth.

Some even begged for the return of other limited-edition flavors, with another saying: “Bring back the raspberry ripple! This one is exuberant.

To which one fan argued: “And the salted caramel!!!”

Unfortunately, these limited edition Ballycastle flavors often disappear from shelves quickly – so it’s best to stock up while you can.

With the new vanilla flavor costing just £7.49 per bottle, we reckon the drink will sell out as soon as it hits the shelves.

As with all of Aldi’s mid-aisle and limited-edition purchases, they are not available online.

This means you’ll have to visit your local supermarket to make sure you don’t miss anything.

If you haven’t already been tempted to buy it as part of your weekly shop, the supermarket also has a stupid Aperol.

A 70cl bottle of Aperini Superiore is just £4.99 while stocks last and will be another great summer drink.

Well, that’s the holiday barbecue we’ve got you covered.

When is the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when stores open

Items with red stickers are rare across Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says none of its food goes to waste, so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommended retail price before stores open at their best time or best before date.”

This means you’ll have a better chance of finding reduced-price foods if you go to stores as soon as they open.

Opening hours vary depending on the store, but most open from 7am or 8am. You can find the hours of your nearest store using the supermarket online store finder tool.

For special purchases – Thursdays and Sundays

Special Buys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock arrives in stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally these are the best days to visit for the best one-off specials.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head to your local store during opening hours.

However, you don’t need to go to stores to buy a Specialbuy.

They are also on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, items will be delivered free of charge.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit asap
