SHOPPERS are going crazy for an Aldi rosé fizz that’s perfect for summer.
So if you’re a fan of rosé wine and want a drink that’s great for warm weather, you’ve come to the right place.
Wine influencer Lucy Hitchcock, founder of Partner in winetook to social media to share her honest review of her Aldi purchase, leaving many speechless.
As she showed off the specially selected Cremant De Bordeaux Brut Rosé, the wine lover, shared her clip with the caption ‘Perfect for champagne hen parties on a Prosecco budget, brunch with the girls, baby showers and elegant picnics in the park’.
She claimed that the £8.49 pink champagne ‘dupe’ is the “perfect budget treat” for summer as she encouraged shoppers to run, not walk, to Aldi.
The content creator then said: “If you’re looking for an alternative to your favorite rosé Champagne, because not everyone can splurge on Moet all the time, then you’ll want to know this, and it’s just £8.49.
“Most people associate Bordeaux with red wine, but here we have a delicious dry sparkling wine made in exactly the same way as Champagne, which gives it that touch of creamy richness and those brioche notes we all love.”
Lucy then took a sip of the sparkling rosé, which she thought was “unreal.”
With aromas of black cherry and cassis with flavors of black currant with an herbaceous finish, Lucy not only tasted strawberry and raspberry, but also recognized “notes of peach” and “something herbaceous”.
Surprised by the £8.49 price of the elegant fizz, Lucy said the bubbly drink would be perfect for a summer picnic or hen party, and added: “Not only would this be perfect in itself, but it’s also giving me giving brunch vibes, goodbye vibes.
“This is absolutely stunning and I will finish the rest of this bottle. This is officially approved by Partner In Wine – cheers!”
The Instagram video, posted under the username @partnerinwineukIt clearly left many speechless as it quickly racked up almost 2,000 likes.
Social media users were surprised by the bargain and were eager to express it in the comments.
One person said: “Run to Aldi.”
Another added: “I’m going to Aldi!”
A third commented: “Then I’m going to join the queue at Aldi!”
When is the best time to shop at Aldi?
WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
For reduced items – when stores open
Items with red stickers are rare across Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says none of its food goes to waste, so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.
A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommended retail price before stores open at their best time or best before date.”
This means you’ll have a better chance of finding reduced-price foods if you go to stores as soon as they open.
Opening hours vary depending on the store, but most open from 7am or 8am. You can find the hours of your nearest store using the supermarket online store finder tool.
For special purchases – Thursdays and Sundays
Special Buys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock arrives in stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally these are the best days to visit for the best one-off specials.
For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head to your local store during opening hours.
However, you don’t need to go to stores to buy a Specialbuy.
They are also on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can order them up to a week in advance.
As long as you spend at least £25, items will be delivered free of charge.
Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit asap
At the same time, many Instagram users tagged their friends and loved ones to alert them to the rosé bargain.
A rosé lover alerted an Aldi shopper and smiled: “We need to try this!”
