Winners will be able to sample a range of different flavored gins including blackcurrant and raspberry, orange and lemon and of course a classic London dry gin.

Aldi stocks award-winning gins, including the likes of Haysmith’s Seville Orange & Persian Lime Gin (£14.99, 70cl), which won ‘Best in Country’ at this year’s World Gin Awards 2024.

Each selected Gin Club member will receive three bottles of Aldi’s latest summer gin releases over an eight-week period.

Packages will include everything needed to create the perfect cocktail masterpiece.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK says; “We’re excited to launch the UK’s first supermarket Gin Club, recruiting a panel of gin enthusiasts who are passionate when it comes to cocktail creation.

“Aldi’s award-winning range of gins has gone from strength to strength and this provides us with a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from our customers, helping to improve and develop our ranges to next year. Good luck to all candidates.”

In return, all buyers have to do is rate each gin, create their own cocktail and share it on TikTok or Instagram using the dedicated #AldiGinClub hashtag – then sip and enjoy.

Battle of the canned cocktails

To be in with a chance of getting the part, tasters with a nose for vegetables simply need to email aldiginclub@clarioncomms.co.uk with the details below:

Full name, proof of age, your social media handles (TikTok and Instagram) and the number of followers for each account, 150 words explaining why you think you should be selected as a member of the Aldi Gin Club and what your Aldi gin is favorite and your favorite gin-based cocktail to make with it.

Aldi’s gins aren’t the only summer drinks consumers are going crazy for.

A wine expert has taken to social media raving about his latest effervescent rose.

How to save money buying alcohol

Alcohol can be expensive if you’re planning a party or hosting an event, but there are ways to cut costs.

It’s always important to drink responsibly, here Sun Savers editor Lana Clements shares some tips on how to get booze at the best price.

Stocking up can mean big savings on drinks, especially if you want to buy wine or gas.

Large supermarkets regularly offer 25% discounts when purchasing six or more bottles of wine. Promotions typically take place before occasions such as holidays, Christmas and Easter.

If you know you’ll need booze later in the year, it might be worth taking action when you look at the offers.

Before you buy your favorite drink, do your research to find the best price – you can use a comparison site like pricerunner.com or trolley.co.uk.

Don’t forget that loyalty cards can lead to better savings, so take that into consideration as well.

If you like your style, wine clubs can also be a good way to save money and try new varieties. Typically, you’ll have to pay a membership fee in exchange for a cheaper price, so figure out if you’ll buy enough to make the one-time cost worth it.

She showed off the specially selected Cremant De Bordeaux Brut Rosé, the wine lover shared her clip with the caption ‘Perfect for champagne hen parties on a Prosecco budget, brunch with the girls, baby showers and elegant picnics in the park’.

She claimed the £8.49 pink champagne ‘dupe’ is the ‘perfect budget treat’ for summer, as she encouraged shoppers to run, not walk, to Aldi.

The content creator then said: “If you’re looking for an alternative to your favorite rosé Champagne, because not everyone can splurge on Moet all the time, then you’ll want to know this, and it’s just £8.49.

“Most people associate Bordeaux with red wine, but here we have a delicious dry sparkling wine made in exactly the same way as Champagne, which gives it that touch of creamy richness and those brioche notes we all love.”

With aromas of black cherry and cassis with flavors of black currant with an herbaceous finish, Lucy not only tasted strawberry and raspberry, but also recognized “notes of peach” and “something herbaceous”.
