A FAST FOOD lover has revealed his trick for getting a McDonald’s item almost £2 cheaper – and it’s easy to copy.
Internet star Dazza, known for her Does It Fry? videos, discovered its price gap after testing the fast food giant’s new menu.
On a short cliphe told viewers he wasn’t impressed with the price of the new Chicken Share Box.
At £10.59, it’s one of the most expensive items on the McDonald’s menu.
Inside you’ll find six Chicken Selects, 12 Chicken McNuggets, plus two McNuggets and two Selects sauces.
And although funnyman Dazza – who starred in Come Dine With Me – enjoyed the food, he managed to find a cheaper alternative that is just as good, if not better.
He said: “With the £3 for 3 items deal, you can mix and match items and get them for £3.
“Now, this deal is only good when you bring it into this chicken sharing box nonsense.
“Buy three portions of chicken nuggets and you’ll get 12 nuggets for £3.”
He then advised customers to order three chilli wraps for £1.99 each and make one modification
Take away everything except the chicken selections and you’ll get 12 nuggets and six chicken selections for just £8.97
That’s a decent saving of £1.62.
Dazza joked: “I’m not afraid of Ronald, he’s a clown, what’s he going to do?”
But you’ll need to be quick to take advantage of Dazza’s hack, as the fast-food giant’s 3 for £3 Mix ‘N’ Match deal is coming to an end on June 11.
The “3 for £3” Mix ‘N’ Match menu was made available in the UK and Ireland on May 22.
Currently, fast food fans can choose from up to nine items as part of the deal.
How much you can save on the 3 for £3 deal depends on the food you’re after, like Dazza.
For example, a fries would normally cost £1.59 and an apple pie £1.89, although prices may vary depending on your location.
Also, don’t forget that there may be extra costs for delivery on top.
It comes as McDonald’s launches its latest menu revamp earlier this week, including a never-before-seen burger.
