The EU made a hasty decision to BAN smoked bacon crisps due to claims that the chemicals used to create their flavor could be toxic.
Eight smoke flavorings, including those used in the snack, will be phased out in Northern Ireland’s potato chip factories due to post-Brexit trade deals.
But British shoppers, who consume more crisps per capita than anywhere else in Europe, will still be able to consume the product when we leave the EU.
To celebrate, see if you know (cheese and) onions over chips by taking Alex Lloyd’s quiz.
