Well, a foodie recently revealed – and it’s safe to say that meat lovers are far from happy.

As the cost of living crisis grows, many cash-strapped families are monitoring what they spend – and that also includes making sure they are actually getting what they pay for at the supermarket.
One of the people now carefully inspecting her bills and groceries is a shopper who is a member of the popular group Extreme Couponing and Bargains Group in the UK on Facebook.
After placing the minced meat on her digital scale, the woman made a shocking discovery and posted it on the page.
”NOT a coupon or a bargain, but maybe something to think about…are we getting what we pay for?” she wrote.
She explained that she picked up a 500g package of lean chopped steak on her shopping trip and assumed she was getting what she paid for.
But despite what the packaging said, she realized that she didn’t actually get 500g of meat.
”I bought what I assumed was 500g, as stated on the packaging, but I actually got 456g!
“Not much of a difference, I know, but it makes me wonder,” she continued in the caption above the photo that revealed the unpleasant discovery.
Social media users then concluded that the “E” on the plastic packaging means “esteemed”, leaving some furious.
“People complain it’s only 50g, but if you bought a variety bag with 6 packets of crisps and only got 5, would you still take it?” one person commented.
”You bought a box with 12 cans and got 10, is that ok?
”We are fooled even when times are hard and they call it a “living crisis”. People should be more vigilant about where money is wasted!
Another agreed, writing: “For those who don’t think it’s a big deal. Every 11th package, if packed with 50g less, is pure profit for these companies.
“So they are fooling everyone and getting away with it.
”Yes, the “e” stands for average or estimated weight, but it is also not intended to fall below a certain percentage of the stated weight, which is the case here as it is almost 10% below what is being advertised.’ ‘
To avoid being scammed and make the most of your money, someone suggested: ”If you go to a butcher’s, they weigh the produce in front of you.

One angry shopper added: “I don’t care what the E in the corner stands for or packaging errors, get it right, I’m paying for 500g, give me 500g, not rocket science.”
