FOODIES has gone into a frenzy after spotting new chocolate bars at Aldi – and they think the treat is better than Cadbury’s version.

There’s no better way to treat yourself to some chocolate on a gloomy day like today – and if you’re on the hunt for exciting flavours, it might be worth planning a trip to your local Aldi.

It’s because fans of the popular discount supermarket have spotted a new chocolate on the shelves – and it’s costing a bargain too.

A customer, known only as @dylans commentstook to TikTok to inform other shoppers at the store about the incredible deal, and if you have a sweet tooth, this treat is not one to sleep on.

“There are new chocolate bars at Aldi,” said the customer in his video.

”Dairyfine’s Golden Blonde chocolate bars – and there’s a crunchy one too.”

Both white chocolate bars are selling for less than £1.50, costing £1.39 – a little cheaper compared to Cadbury’s White Chocolate which costs £2.

Some shoppers considered this treat could be a copy of another company favorite – Nestlé’s White Crunch, which retails for £1.89.

Others, however, wondered if this was Aldi’s version of Caramac, which was discontinued in 2023.

It seems that Dylan’s video clearly impressed many, as it racked up around 80,000 views in just one day.

Dozens of social media users flocked to the comments to tag their friends and share their thoughts.

One of them would certainly plan a trip back to the nearby branch, while shouting: ”Stop it!!! I’ve been to Aldi three times in the last few days and I didn’t even see this!

“Prefer these to Cadbury,” added another, giving the chocolate a thumbs up.

A third customer was also delighted with the treat, praising the taste.

”They’re really delicious, I bought one yesterday!”

However, not everyone will rush to the store to try the chocolate – and some have even urged others to avoid the £1.39 purchase.

When is the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when stores open

Items with red stickers are rare across Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says none of its food goes to waste, so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommended retail price before stores open at their best time or best before date.”

This means you’ll have a better chance of finding reduced-price foods if you go to stores as soon as they open.

Opening hours vary depending on the store, but most open from 7am or 8am. You can find the hours of your nearest store using the supermarket online store finder tool.

For special purchases – Thursdays and Sundays

Special Buys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock arrives in stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally these are the best days to visit for the best one-off specials.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head to your local store during opening hours.

However, you don’t need to go to stores to buy a Specialbuy.

They are also on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, items will be delivered free of charge.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit asap

“Worst chocolate,” exclaimed one reviewer, adding several vomit emojis alongside the comment.

“Eww, they taste like fat,” another was also unimpressed with the sweet treat.

“Yes, and look at all the red in the fatty sugar and saturated fat,” pointed out one health fanatic.
