The content creator, who is mum to Ember-Oak and Darla-Dove, explained that she now gets her weekly collection for just £11 – including drinks, biscuits, crisps and even tubs of baby food.

Showing off her impressive result online, Molly shared a clip from her local Heron Foods, leaving many with their mouths open.

Heron Foods has hundreds of locations across the UK and prides itself on offering “big name bargains for less”.

Heron Foods was a family business until being purchased by B&M Stores in 2017.

Since then, the company has expanded rapidly and employs more than 5,000 people in 300 stores.

The majority of locations are in the North East and Midlands, but the network is growing, with some stores already in Cardiff and Luton.

Showing off her discounted shopping at the lesser-known budget supermarket, the foodie and savvy mum said: “If you want to know how I managed to spend just £11 on all this baby food, keep watching.

“If you don’t know me, my name is Molly and I have two girls under the age of three.

“Judging from this sentence, the food store is very expensive, so every two weeks I go to the local Heron Foods and raid the place.”

Molly grabbed jars of baby food, cookies and crackers, before grabbing branded juices and sweets.

I binned Home Bargains and B&M from Heron Foods because that’s where the proper bargains are – you should see how much Coke I bought for £1.49

She explained: “Starting with the baby food jars and then we bought the honey bear cookies because everyone was raving about it in my last video.

“I took two boxes of alphabet cookies, the Heinz The juice is coming home with me soon and another thing I didn’t see are these gummy sweets.

“I made a quick purchase and then went to the register.”

These dates in this store are at least a month old, this will serve the girls for just over a week

Upon arriving home, the bargain hunter continued: “We’ve finished our shopping so let’s look at what we got – we’ve got two boxes of Alphabet biscuits, they have five packets in each – 39p.

“A large packet of Honey Teddy Bear biscuits was £1, and a packet of Organix tomato crisps was 39p.

“Four boxes of Organix Fruity Pic-Nix, again 39p, individual bags of Organix crisps, were 29p each.

“Heinz drinks were two for £1 – the girls love those drinks.

“Two small packets of tangerines, 49 cents each, banana porridge, I think it was 39 cents.

“Six Hipp Organic pots, again, were 39p each or three for £1, so I bought six for £2.

“I bought pasta with tomatoes and ham and zucchini with potatoes – I mainly use them to add sauces for Darla.

REACTION FROM SOCIAL MEDIA USERS

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @liftingemberanddarlaIt clearly left many speechless as it quickly racked up 61,300 views.

Social media users rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on Heron Foods, with many praising the cheap chain.

One person said: “Heron’s is magical!”

While someone else simply wrote: “Runs to Heron.”

How to save at your grocery store

THERE ARE lots of ways to save on your groceries.

You can look for yellow or red stickers on products that show when they have been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you will have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make hasty purchases when you get to the grocery store.

Buying your own brand can also be an easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills.

This means abandoning “better” or “luxury” products and instead opting for “premier” or value-type lines.

Many supermarkets run unstable vegetable and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they are misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not program, offering 5kg boxes of fruit and veg for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and are a parent, you could get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Additionally, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Families Support Fund.

At the same time, one user wrote: “When buying in bulk for a baby, be careful on Heron – make sure you check the dates.

“It’s often cheap because it goes out of date very soon, so it’s great for a week’s worth of shopping, but be careful when buying in bulk or in advance.”

To this, Molly then confirmed: “These dates in this store are at least a month old, this will serve the girls for just over a week.”
