PAUL Hollywood has settled years of debate by finally revealing where you should store your bread.
The Great British Bake Off judge is widely known as the ‘Bread King’ and is often asked by people where they should store their bread.
And answering the question in a video on his TikTok page, Paul finally set the record straight.
“A big question I get asked a lot is, ‘Where do you keep bread?’” he began.
“If you put bread in the fridge, it will stale three times faster because you are removing all the moisture from the bread.”
As for where Paul himself keeps the bread, he said, “Well, to be honest, I put it in a brown bag and leave it aside!”
“Did you know that about putting bread in the fridge?” Paul captioned the video.
However, many people in the comments were not convinced by Paulo’s suggestion.
“I say you are wrong,” wrote one.
“I keep mine in a sealed bag in the fridge – it keeps much better inside than out.”
“No, don’t believe that.” another added.
“I left the bread in the fridge for a week after the date and it was still good.”
“It seems to go moldy quickly when I leave it out,” wrote a third.
“I don’t agree! We keep our bread in the fridge, it lasts much longer,” said another person.
“I’d rather it be old than moldy,” argued another.
“I keep mine in the fridge and it stays fresher longer,” said someone else.
While others have revealed their own storage solutions for their bread.
“The best thing is a beeswax wrap,” wrote one.
“I use it as sourdough and it lasts much longer!”
“I have a bread box from the 1960s,” added another.
“Freezer,” someone said.
