Many parents know that eating out as a family can often be very expensive.

But luckily, Morrisons has come to the rescue with its handy box that will please not just children but adults too.

Thrilled by the find, one savvy shopper took to social media to show off her bargain – which costs £15 with a Morrisons More card, or £20 without it.

Posting in Extreme Couponing and Bargains Group in the UKa private Facebook group with 2.5 million members, Samantha Evans shared photos of her Morrisons purchase.

The experienced mum then revealed that the box contained two adult sandwiches, and confirmed that you can choose between egg and watercress, smoked ham and cheese, crispy tuna rolls or chicken and bacon rolls.

In addition, you also get two children’s sandwiches, with ham or cheese available.

Additionally, buyers will receive a pack of six sausage rolls or cheese and onion rolls.

A picnic wouldn’t be complete without crisps – and for this picnic box, you can choose between a six-pack of Walkers Variety or a 125g bag of The Best Cooked Sea Salted Crisps from Morrisons.

You also get a sweet treat – with your choice of five strawberry donuts, a pack of five milk chocolate chip cookies, or five cream donuts.

Plus, the picnic box also comes with a fruit pack – and you can choose from a pack of seven sweet, easy-to-peel oranges, a pack of five bananas, or a pack of six apples.

Top things to buy at Morrisons

And to top it off, you can choose two drinks for adults and two drinks for children.

For adult beverages, you can have two bottles of spring water, 7UP, Pepsi Max, Oasis Citrus or Fanta Zero.

And for children’s drinks there is spring water, or orange or litter and blackcurrant Fruit Burst.

How to save at Morrisons

Buying a delivery pass can reduce the cost of online shopping if you’re a regular Morrisons customer.

You also get priorities for Christmas delivery times.

How much it costs depends on what you receive at any given time or in the middle of the week, and whether it is annual, semi-annual or monthly.

You’ll need to calculate the cost compared to how much you spend on delivery without it to see if it’s worth it.

Morrisons offers a range of unstable vegetables that can work out cheaper than the main range.

It includes all types of products including peas, spaghetti, marmalade, jaffa cakes and washing up liquid.

Shoppers can earn points with the More Than loyalty scheme when they spend online or in store.

How many points you earn will depend on the offers available at the time, as well as earning five points for every liter of fuel at Morrisons stations.

When do supermarkets launch yellow sticker bargains?

The length of time supermarkets reduce their products varies between stores.

Here’s a rough supermarket-by-supermarket guide:

Aldi

Aldi uses a red sticker to show reductions on fresh produce such as bread, meat, fruit and vegetables.

This is when they reach the last day of validity.

Items with red stickers are most commonly found at opening and closing times.

IN

Reduction times may vary from store to store, but are most likely to occur close to closing time.

Asda

Asda said Which? that the yellow stickers are applied twice a day – morning and evening.

Cooperative

The Co-op told The Sun that its reduced clearance prices usually apply around four hours before the store closes.

Lidl

Lidl has a similar procedure to Asda and Aldi with twice-daily reductions.

However, individual stores may choose to reduce prices throughout the day.

Morrison

Online shoppers said Morrisons has the best bargains first thing in the morning.

However, the store said Which? There are no specific times for yellow sticker price reductions.

Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s told The Sun that it is at the discretion of the store manager to offer discounts.

However, shoppers have reported that the best deals are in the evening from 6pm onwards.

Tesco

Tesco said there is no specific time for the reduction, but again, most people have found prices to be reduced from 6pm.

Waitrose

As with most other stores, Waitrose shoppers said the best reductions are found before closing.

However, the store stated that there is no specific time for the yellow stickers to be applied.

A third commented: “Wow this is amazing! Thanks for sharing as I had no idea this existed.”

Meanwhile, a customer smiled: “I received one yesterday. I used my Mais card. Absolutely 100% worth it.

“Lots of choice, something to please everyone. Just go to the cafe and choose from the order form. It is worth it.”
