A mum has been hailed a “genius” for her trick to feed a family of four at Nando’s for just £30.

Donatella revealed that she and her family can go to Nando’s at least three times a month, adding that she was surprised when she discovered that some people spend £80 at the popular chicken restaurant.

On TikTok, the mother-of-two said there is a “strange perception” that when you go to Nando’s everyone has their meal.

However, she said her family prefers a tapas style and orders many different dishes to share.

Donatella explained that she and her husband Dan usually get a chicken each and then give some to their kids, as they don’t eat a full kids’ meal.

“Because our children are so young, offering them a kids’ meal is actually a waste of money because they will never eat that food,” she said.

The family also orders a side of loaded fries, because you get a “huge plate that everyone can share” and extra chicken, for just £8.

Donatella or Dan will also order two sides to share, which the whole family will share again.

The mother, from London, added that she buys bottomless soft drinks for herself and her husband and just puts a little in a glass of water for her children.

“There is no way on planet Earth they are drinking £3.95 worth of soft drinks,” she said.

Donatella next The tip is that she and her husband always order separately and each have their own Nando’s card, so they can have double the amount of points.

With the Nando’s card, you get a chilli every day you spend £7 or more and get a reward every time you match three, six and 10 chillies.

My Nando’s lazy girl is amazing – it’s filled with halloumi and I even make the restaurant’s signature Peri-salt snacks

“By having a Nando’s card each, we literally double the amount of free chicken we get, and when the peppers stack up it means we can go to Nando’s and basically just eat for free.”

Donatella’s video, posted under the username @proud..weirdos, probably left a lot of people impressed, as it racked up 467,000 views on the video-sharing platform.

TikTok users rushed to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts.
