The Limoncello Spritz
Google searches for “limoncello spritz recipe” have increased by more than 50% in the last three months – so much so that you’ll now find it on the menu in many bars and restaurants, including London’s leading Italian restaurant, San Carlos.
San Carlo group bar development manager Francesco Putignano says: “Sparkling and reminiscent of the Italian south coast, it’s sweeter than an Aperol Spritz, as Limoncello is made from vodka, lemon zest and sugar.”
To make your own, fill a wine glass with ice, pour over 50ml limoncello, top with 60ml prosecco and 30ml sparkling water, stir and garnish with a sprig of thyme.
Italian Riviera vibes coming!
The Gin Spritz
The new Tanqueray Paradise£27 from Sainsbury’s will inject some carnival spirit into your summer thanks to its blend of Brazilian guava, lemongrass and, of course, the brand’s London Dry gin.
According to fans, it “captures the flavor of sunnier climates without the need to board a plane.”
Add 50ml of the spirit to a glass, along with 10ml of lemon juice and 5ml of sugar syrup, fill with ice and slowly add 90ml of prosecco and 40ml of sparkling water, stir and garnish with a long squeeze of lemon.
Summer in a glass!

It’s a guaranteed way to spice up your summer.
