MORE than anything, most Olympic athletes want to win gold – except maybe Henrik Christiansen, who loves chocolate muffins.

The Norwegian team swimmer has made the Olympic Village’s sticky treats go viral, but the company that makes them says he is just one of thousands devouring them.

Last week, Christiansen went viral with a TikTok of himself devouring a muffin in his roomchocolate on the face.

He is kept posting almost exclusively muffin content, including another clip of him eating one in the Olympic Village cafeteria.

“I don’t think you guys realize how good this is,” he wrote in the clip, which has been viewed 13.9 million times.

He left with four at a time, showed off his bedside drawer full of them, and jokingly posted about his distaste for all other parties.

The treat was also a hit with other Olympic athletes.

American volleyball player Erik Shoji, British athlete Lina Nielsen and Singaporean swimmer Quah Jing Wen are among the other contestants posting muffin photos.

Close-ups show a chocolate cake with large chunks of chocolate and a gooey, melted chocolate center.

But anyone who wants to get away with the recipe is out of luck.

Sodexo live! is the event company that supplied the muffins to the Olympic Village and does not share its secrets.

However, they did give The US Sun some inside details about them.

THE SECRET SAUCE

A spokesperson said this particular muffin — a blueberry version available to athletes — is 130 grams or 4.59 ounces.

It is “presented in a tulip glass and is perfect for chocolate lovers.”

“It is filled and covered with dark chocolate, with pieces of dark chocolate and milk chocolate,” they said.

It is available in the main restaurant and at six takeout locations throughout the Village.

They said with so much supply, around 2,000 chocolate muffins are consumed there every day.

They hope to serve 100,000 people when the Olympics and Paralympics are over.

THE MUFFIN MAN

Unfortunately for salivating social media users, these muffins are not available to purchase directly from consumers.

But Christiansen offered an explanation for what makes them so good.

“They are very rich and I like that,” he said The New York Timescalling them “incredibly delicious” and “moist.”

“I’m lucky that I can indulge a lot more than other people because I need a lot more calories,” he added.

Sodexo live! also provides other desserts and sweets, including white cheese, jams, flan parisien, tarte au citron, financiers, carrot cakes and macadamia cookies.
