A SKINCARE enthusiast has shared a cheap trick that’s almost as good as a cosmetic injection.

She explained that she saw almost the same results as her sister’s Botox treatments with her $4 purchase.

Editor HiveJiveLive shared the money-saving skincare tip in a post.

“I’ve been using tape while I sleep [my] forehead, eyes and nasolabial folds,” she said.

She explained that the tape worked in several ways to prevent wrinkles and reduce the appearance of pre-existing imperfections.

“It’s making a difference! I think it’s threefold: it helps retain moisture, so it gives a plumping effect; it prohibits the unconscious use of muscles, reducing wrinkles; and it expels excess liquid,” she said.

“Or at least prevent it from building up because the tape is a tougher barrier than delicate skin.”

She explained that she initially started with silicone patches, and although they worked well, she felt like the patches were clogging her skin.

“Ultimately [it] I felt like my skin couldn’t breathe and I have to be careful with that because of underlying medical conditions,” she said.

“My sister uses Botox and I swear my tape is almost as effective.”

The ribbon, she said, gave her an advantage her sister doesn’t have.

“I still have facial mobility and she doesn’t,” he joked.

To apply the tape, she pulled the skin off before gluing it on.

“I don’t pull too hard — just enough to smooth out any creases I’m trying to combat,” she said.

“I also put it on all my products/slugging. I feel like this holds them in better and makes the tape easier to remove with very little residue behind.

“Then just wash your face and do my morning routine. I’ll also do this on work-from-home days. I guess it doesn’t hurt, right?”

While she didn’t specify the brand of tape she used, skincare fans can shop tape on Amazon for $4.

Those who have purchased the tape for anti-aging purposes have reported rave reviews.

“I was able to use this with my castor oil and frankincense oil for my face; the tape works on top of the oils so it doesn’t create wrinkles. I will buy again,” said one reviewer.

“I’m using this for duct tape and so far so good!” said another.

“I found a tutorial online and saw visible results from taping my face every night.”

“I do face tape at night and it works really well with my oil! It’s also great to use when something needs to be glued to the body!
